This is a Vlog of a small Japanese family living in Tokyo. Mom MOE, who loves to cook, 3 year old Sutan, and dad Moto, who loves nature.
Moto has always wanted Sutan to experience more nature, so they went camping. It was their first camping trip as a family. The campground is spread out at the foot of Japan's highest mountain, Mt. Fuji. It was a family-friendly campground with flat ground, good views, and clean restrooms. It's only about 2 hours from Tokyo, so definitely put it on your Japan travel list! They also have a rental store for a set of tents.

Hi kimonoko! Do you like camping? Actually, I'm more of a hotel person than a camping person😂, but Moto showed me around the beautiful Japanese nature, and it was the most relaxing trip ever! As you can see, Sutan is growing with each trip. We want her to see the beautiful scenery with her own eyes, overcome the happenings of the trip, and feel many different feelings. Just recently it was a pandemic and all we could think about was what we could do at home, but we're so glad we can finally take her out into the world! Does anyone have plans to come to Japan?? People may dream about fancy sports cars and a luxury mansion, but they like to also be surrounded by love, peace and beauty. How do you know if Kimono mom and her husband doesn’t dream of luxury items also? You can have the most luxurious life but we’re love love and peace and being around family. And this family seems to have a sweet and loving life, with a few luxuries in their life.

@@JMarieCAlove I'm sorry but I was not presuming what the couple's aspirations are at all. ✌️ Although I'm at fault for not being clear. I meant "dream" in my statement to be finite (like a wish) to emphasize it's importance or hierarchy with other aspirations. Because if we remove the importance part, of course everyone would want everything that is good.

"I love you" は家族にも恋人にも言うけど、日本では、"love"はしばしば「真剣な愛、重い愛」と翻訳される言葉なので、子供や恋人に誤解されるかもしれない。 「すき」「大好き」ならもっと気軽に言えるし、私の家族にも沢山言われた。 日本人がILoveYouと言わない、と思われているのはそういうのが原因だと思われる。

@@MikeWildfrog A dictionary definition of euphoria is the feeling of EXTREME happiness, elation. exhilaration, even frenzy. It is manifested by loud vocalizations, strong facial expressions, or hand and body gesticulation. It's a transitory feeling, caused by a specific event, not a steady state of mind. A football crowd becomes euphoric when their team scores a goal or even more euphoric when their squad wins the nation's championship. In this video, the mother's affect is the opposite of euphoric. She exudes a quiet joy and satisfaction as a result of her happy family life. What I always appreciate about how Moe-san handles the cooking with Sutan, she lets Sutan do things herself and gives small advice (unless it's something dangerous, of course) - I remember my mother just told me to do X (using the cookie cutter, for example), didn't like how I did it (wasting too much space) and just went "wrong! I will do it - just watch me" - which left me with zero desire for cooking or baking until 15 years later, when I started cooking together with friends and found joy in trying new and different recipes.

I can relate. My mother never took the time to teach me how to cook, so maybe that is why to this day, I hate to cook. There are rare moments, I do like to cook, try a new recipe. I think here in America, Mothers can not be bothered to teach their little girls and little boys to learn how to cook. Of course there are exceptions. My first husband was a fantastic cook, much better than I; his mother would allow him to watch her cook when he was a youngster, but of course he was curious. Also this was back in the late forties, early fifties, and I think in those days it actually was more common for mothers to teach their children to cook at an early age.

Omg same. My Dad was the cook in our family and very good at it too. You would think this will pass on to his children but since he is very particular about cooking and gets irritated if you do it in a different way from him, I ended up avoiding how to learn even though I’m interested. All those little things that your parents do really affects you. I’m envious of Sutan.

Of all the extreme love and cuteness, and all the universal loving family stuff like when we share coats 🥰 One tiny gesture was so moving : the way Sutan loves her dad so much she has to have her hand touching his leg; even though they are already sitting close. This is such a universal kid thing.

Used to watch the cooking videos by Moe when Sutan was very young, and Moe had to constantly stop the video to attend to her. Really patient mother and very impressed by her waking up very early everyday to prepare the meals. Time really flies. And really glad that Moe is able to continue her passion to share her life with all of us.

The part where Sutan cuts vegetable, I was so anxious when the mom let go of her hand, probably because I've never seen any parents let their kids use knife like that. I know the mom is right behind but the cucumber is really big and round and its quite a big knife, but having watched this channel I know they taught her well. You can se the kid knows how to be really careful before she cuts, even without the mom guiding her, she watched her little fingers and decides to make a fist, honestly very impressed at how careful she was with it. Such an awesome and wholesome video. I mean the scenes in here with how happy the kid is, it really is the kind of mental image that people have when imagining a perfect family, or at least the perfect family time. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is weling up, because they wished they had a family time like this as a kid, or wish they could have family time like this when they grow up, but everything just change and didn't quite go your way. Thank you for sharing these lovely family moments, they are so preacious.

This is so honest. Across all cultures, we can agree that kids become the priority of our lives. Their happiness is most important and although it’s challenging, it’s so rewarding. We can’t wait for them to go to bed to just continue talking about them and look over them while they sleep. Thank you so much for sharing, there is no language barrier when it comes to love.
