It's day 5 of our camping trip at Links caravan and camping park Mundesley in Norfolk for our May half term in our Outdoor Revoilution Campstar 600 Air beam Tent. Its still raining on and off but even though it was still cold today we decided to chance it, put the wet suits on and go to the beach and do some belly boarding. Luckily the rain held off long enough that we could enjoy the beach and the sun even came out for a little bit. Unfortunately we wasn't so lucky later when we got caught out in a massive down pore!
Make sure you check out all our other videos from this trip including trips to Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Banham Zoo, Cromer Sea Front High Altitude Trampoline Park and Much More.
Mundesley is a pretty Victorian seaside village where families can enjoy a traditional holiday away from the hustle and bustle. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mundesley offers great coastal walks and is close to the Broads National Park.
The coastal village of Mundesley became popular with the Victorians, when visitors were brought to the area with the opening of a railway in 1898. Visitors were able to sample the finest air in the country! The railway has long gone, but the fresh sea breezes off the North Sea still attract visitors.
A fine nine-hole golf course built in 1901, sits on the hillside of the River Mun valley and offers unrivalled views over the coast and countryside, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
For family fun, there is crazy golf, a skate park, play areas and a tennis court. In the Summer there is a surf school and there are geo-caches for treasure hunters. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, fayres, festivals and concerts in the village halls and parks.
The charming village has a parade of independent shops. There are also pubs and places to eat and stay, and the streets are lined with pretty flint buildings and cottages. Mundesley is also home three churches as well as a Maritime Museum, believed to be one of the smallest museums in England! Opposite the museum is a World War II memorial to the men who lost their lives while clearing landmines from the beaches.
Mundesley is perfect for those seeking a traditional seaside holiday in a welcoming village, with scenic walks, including a circular walk, and lots of family friendly activities.
