Instead of an overlanding trip we decided to switch it up and visit my favorite campground. This place is incredible! It's just up highway 395 near Mammoth Lakes. This is a hidden gem and great fishing I was the only bartender in town. Great people but so much scenery you missed and the back drop of the mountain you can climb astonishing

If you don't want to be around alot of people there's plenty of forest .. Def must in the fall hike up the mountain takes 2 days don't stay to long . Bc you will find yourself snowed in this awesome secret place. Beautiful skiing area as well. And the town knows everyone. Family

@@FranciscoGonzalez-qe7rm it is south of Tahoe. North of Mammoth lakes also very beautiful I loved going to the hot springs after a day a day of riding down mammoth. The hole town knows each other so there really nice people.... But IF YOU'RE ASKING ME WHERES THIS PLACE AT? THEN YOSEMITE NATIONAL FOREST TOPS THE LIST.... AMAZING THERE! AND THE TOEN HES TALKING ABOUT B MMM PRETTY CLOSE

Ok so I figured it out! What do you think the odds are of getting a spot in the next couple weeks? Is it typically pretty packed? Looks amazing!

We have been going there for my entire lifetime and have never not been able to get a spot though sometimes it’s pretty packed. I would think if you go up on a Thursday or a Sunday you should be good.

Hello sir, i love your videos, they are very helpful for camping. I recently saw your video of your favorite spot to camp and when i saw the pictures i honestly fell in love. i am a camper myself but new in the california camping. i’ve been looking for a good spot for a while and haven’t really found any secluded nature places by a lake. when i saw yours i knew this was what i was looking for. i know you didn’t want to disclose where this was, but i can assure you i would never do anything to harm nature or ruin this place. i am a nature lover and i myself get upset when i see people ruin such beautiful nature that is Gods creation… i am asking if you can please share with me where this place is. it would be greatly appreciated and would make me really happy. I'm headed to the eastern sierras next month! I've been camping but never to the mammoth area. I know you said no geo tagging but do you recommend any easier off road trails in that area?

If I show up there in late July, would I be able to get a spot on the first come first served basis? Especially if you won't be able to make it there until late in the day

Hard to say. We have seen years where the place was packed and years where it’s not at all. If you follow along on the channel we camp at a lot of dispersed camping spots. If you learn how to get comfortable with that you can go up there knowing if it’s a busy weekend you will be able to find a place to camp no matter what.
