I’m in total agreement with the judge here. I have a younger family member who was a victim of this type of abuse, it totally changes them as a person and all the therapy doesn’t seem to help. I think it doesn’t go far enough because no matter how much time these sick people do when they get out it’s been proven statistically that they always reoffend!

I will *never* understand how someone can be so myopic and so selfish that they would put their children through the horrific nightmare that those poor sweet kids are going through right now. Even if you hate your partner to the depths of your soul (rightly or wrongly) the fact that a person can take it to that next step of murder says something deeply disturbing about them beyond the comprehension of most human beings. We have to start teaching young men that other people don’t belong to them as objects in relationships.

I work at the hospital the RN that was killed worked at 🤦🏾‍♂️ actually at work now… She was a kind soul… 3rd woman in less than a year and a half to be murdered by their spouse that works at this hospital… Crazy

Don't quote me on it, but people working on crimes against children have stated that some monsters are more interested in seeing their victims in pain than the sexual act, they do it because they know that this will hurt the kid for the rest of tis/her life. So I'm a firm believer that monsters should never be released not even when they stop breathing.

This case has rocked my hometown bc Tim's parents are quite well known here. We're all waiting with, holding our breaths to see what will happen. I suspect he was abusive all along...a loving family man doesn't suddenly become violent enough to shoot the mother of his children.

Note that per most Family Court experts domestic violence perpetrators frequently take out counter restraining orders, to level the playing field when they’re angry at being called out for being the violent one.

I was good friends with Tim in elementary through middle school in Decatur. We used to play on the same basketball team and have cookouts with his family all the time and my dad played basketball with his dad so this was shocking to my whole family. Do you know the sickest part of this? They are allowing parents and doctors to perform the same castration on minors, and there seems to be no issue with that but controversy over doing it to a criminal anyone that performs this chemical castration on a minor should be held accountable in the court of law along with your parents said it’s just sick the things that are going on in our present day.

For the record Chemical castration doesn't stop offenders from offending and, The drug they use for Chemical castration is the same drug they use on children who suffer from gender dysphoria. Most places quit Chemical castration as they decide it was cruel and unusual punishment. Now they are doing this to children.

Even if it is about power - it’s not ONLY about power….if it was only about power, they would join a boxing club…it’s power connected to getting off…so even if castration doesn’t “fix” them…it will take their power to do anything.

I'm a medical professional with experience in psychology and sociology of male perpetrators of violence against women and children. Multiple studies have shown testosterone increases aggressiveness and violence in men including the need for power and control. Clinical data has proven that clients receiving chemical castration are unlikely to reoffend. Problems do arise when clients stop participating in chemical castration programs. The only definitive way to treat male sex offenders is ensure they adhere to the program or undergo permanent surgical castration. Add to those interventions counseling with a strong emphasis on behavior modification and participation in a support group and clients are not likely to reoffend. That said while I enjoyed your discussion with your guest, she is wrong in her assumptions about the benefit to society of these stated methods of controlling offenders and reducing violence against women and children.

If my husband said that , he would find the locks changed when he came home!I fear that a pediphile will use objects if he cannot sexually assault them in the “usual” way. He may also become frustrated because of this and take it out on the child. A lot of time sexual abuse is about power so castrating seems like they’ll just use other “tools” and find other ways to hurt or abuse someone. I agree and disagree with it….as a sexual abuse survivor as well it just makes me think about if the ones that did this to me would they still do it even if they were castrated?? And my answer is yes they would figure something else to use and some way to take power over the victim.

A person could be neck deep in charitable roles and actions, and be pure evil. Never think someone’s occupation, location, family, or social standing means they can’t be killers. As a survivor of abuse in EVERY form, the things pedo’s do can be done without ‘urges’; such as by making the victims do things to one another, photos, entrapment, videos, violence, etc… no cure for the wicked. Sadly, I am a grandma who does use medical marijuana for neuropathy, migraines, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue. It works better then the eight RX drugs I was on. Chronic for chronic health issues. I’d rather use medical THC over the synthetic drugs traditionally used for these issues. Off my soapbox now😂❤

As i was leaving to go home I was going to go out back door. But he lured me out the front door, then WHAM he hit me behind my head with a cast iron frying pan! Long story... I'm alive.

The castration is the best thing I have heard. As a rape victim at the age of 13 I wish my rapist would have been castrated because he did molest another girl 10 years after me. He spent 18 years in prison got out and died 1 month later. Castration needs to be legal in every state

I think it was very brave of a judge to order it as a punishment but will it work? Nicky is right, while it might quell sexual arousal, they can still have sexual fantasies and use other instruments in a violent rage. There doesn’t seem to be any peer reviewed evidence based studies that show chemical castration is a punishment and a specific deterrent, which are principles of sentencing. It should be done well before a week before release because it takes time for the hormone levels to change and drop to help reduce urges. It's not immediately.

I think all sexual predators should face a mandatory life imprisonment. They cannot be rehabilitated, this has been proven. They will always be a danger to society. Until we permanently get these people off the streets, we will not get close to making society safe.

Both of these cases make me absolutely sick!! I am so glad the Judge in the other case showed some guts to stand up for true justice
