I’ve never had a family function, but man it’s always so awkward when you meet family members you never even knew existed. Especially when they know who you are. Either that or family members who met you as a baby but you don’t remember them at all.

As an introvert, family functions are meh. I like staying low and try to not catch attention from others. These family functions are usually at my grandma's, and luckily she lets us go pretty much anywhere, so I usually stay in the guest bedroom until told otherwise. If it's not a Christmas function, I'm staying in there most of the time.

One time my cousins came over for Easter and me and my younger brother lived in the same room. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. And I don’t just mean that one Easter Day.
