Yes, 90's Alternative-Rock artists like Candlebox, Fuel, Silverchair, The Black Crowes, etc... Also, a lot of *female* Alternative-Rock artists of the 90's like Duvet, Shawn Colvin, Sarah McLachlan and Natalie Merchant all sound similar and could be easily mistaken for one another. Hole, Wilson Phillips and The Cranberries paved the way for that mellow, easy-listening, subtly-depressed sound in women's Rock music of the 90's... ...Which eventually led to *Emo* Rock, and Emo evolved into Hipster & Coachella, and now Rock music as an entire genre is practically underground at this point in the year 2023. Hip Hop & 'Trap Music' has even influenced Country music now that Country is also past its prime in the age of electronically-made music, autotune and Chief Keef sounding Trap-beats. Rap/Hip Hop and Pop is very easy to make without much talent needed, and that's how the 2 genres manage to stay mainstream. We live in a time of simplicity and convenience when it comes to making music because of modern computer technology. Hip Hop also influenced Rock. It led to genres like Nu-Metal in the 90's & Early 00's. (Artists like Faith No More, 311, Sublime, Limp Bizkit, Pod, early Linkin Park, etc...)

@@Attmay i wouldn’t even say thats. People get nostalgic and tend to overglorify their childhoods in comparison to their adult lives because of the obvious fact that they were naive and lived in blissful ignorance of the way the world worked at such a formative and intimate/personal time in the years that would define them forever. Tbh all decades are the same and different in the sense that they were filled with good and bad, nothing really “objective without splitting hairs” All thats changed is that each gen is just (generally) smarter and knows more than the previous one, but thats about it I don’t see this as self hatred, i just see it as people poking harmless fun at the things they grew up with because it meant a lot to them personally I grew up with and love of ton of songs and artists that do this and yknow what? I love it all the same Its definitely ridiculous, but it slaps and that’s it I feel most of us Probably feel the same lol

The creators of Family Guy are crazy, too funny. Takes me back to early 90's Mtv, my introduction to the grunge era. Pearl Jam,Stone Temple Pilots(plush) a bit of Hootie and the blowfish. Apparently Scott Weiland was the one that started that style of singing, Eddie Vedder then kinda made it mainstream.

If you're judging what Seth Macfarlane hates based on Family Guy bits then you would have to conclude that he hates everything and everyone. It's a comedy show, they bag on everyone it's kind of their thing.

I'm guessing he likes '90s music OK, but prefers music from the '70s and '80s. Just guessing here since we're close to the same age. One of the reasons I love Family Guy--a lot of jokes aimed at my generation.

I was told that the main reason is because of the way that E is pronounced, it makes it hard to make the note resonate, so even in Broadway musicals, they try to make their long notes sound more like an A, because it doesn't tighten up the throat so much.
@aarondimoff5180
@aarondimoff5180 7 жыл бұрын
Whoever told you that is a bit off. As a professional singer of both musical theatre and Opera, you can sing E preeeetty easily. In fact you practice, specifically so that you can sing it easily. If you can't, it's because you're a shit singer, not because of resonance.

Actually it's due to the fact the the eee sound is not as pleasant as the ay sound in music, generally speaking. I forgot who mentioned it but it was a pop artist, as well as the singer of the Prog Band Periphery as well. i believe.

90's was the last peaceful era..so I love everything about it..even music. Musically 60's and 70's were great. But because of a lot of political unrest in 70's my parents love the whole 80's music a lot more...as 80's was more pleasant to them. So, there is no best or worst.
