I think the less involved Seth is with his shows the better it is. Family Guy uses cutaway gags, pop culture references, and cheap 4th wall breaks as a crutch to seem funny and relevant. American Dad has characters that work well with each other and are entertaining when we see them in the most bizzare scenarios. Family Wants to see it's self as wacky shoe but pretends to be clever and serious even tho it comes off as artificial and condescending. American Dad rarely takes itself as serious and will mock itself alot. To put it straight, American Dad just has better writing and cast compared to the burned out writers of Family Guy.

You know, I get what they're going for, but I honestly can't think of a *single* real show that has that problem. All the shows with female protagonists I can think of have mental traumas or drug problems.

Yeah. And then they blame men when the movie flops and no one watches it. Like no, i don’t hate It because I’m sexist, they are just terribly written characters. Take Sarah Connor or Rippley from alien, badass female characters that are not just there to make a statement. A character isn’t great because you keep telling the audience how great they are.

This is one of the best episodes of family guy And is a good example of what family guy is trying to accomplish Now to be fair some of the 2010s episodes did not age well (mainly the ones that try to be a drama and failing mainly because family is supposed to be a satire of raunchy sitcoms) but this episode is one of the best episodes the show has put out Extremely meta and very creative and relevant too

0:44-0:56 I was a little bit disappointed about this episode when it first came out. Because this episode was called “Disney’s The Reboot” and I thought they were going to do parodies of Disney shows and movies because they’re owned by Disney now. I thought it was going to be one of these episodes where Peter host the episode and tell the audience three different versions of things.
