@AHSOKA TANO1994 maaaaan.... My mom wouldn't even let us watch The Simpsons! Or Mtv, BET, or anything with a parental advisory warning rated above T for teens! 😂😂😂😂 I mean, of course we'd watch it anyway when she wasn't around 🤣 But that's how strict and controlling she was about what "influences" we're exposed to!🙄 Like we were just dying to copy and repeat every inappropriate thing we watch on tv!!! My grandparents are boomers and raised her with that same "tv rots your brain and turns your children into foul little potty mouthed juvenile delinquents with no future! Lmfao 😂 They really still think that too!

That Marge Simpson Quagmire r ape joke got banned in syndication. The joke gets worse because you hear offscreen Quagmire shooting everyone in the Simpson house including Maggie.

It was wild. I remember there being an awkward pause after you hear Maggie's pacifier, like they wanted you to stew in the thought of what's about to happen before it does.

@@kylaarmstrong-benjamin8066 yeah they only showed it once I think, Seth Mcfarlane complained about it on DVD commentary that James L. Brooks, who works on The Simpsons, complained to Fox about it and got it banned.

. James L. Brooks worked on The Simpsons from the begining but Matt Groening is the creator. usually parody falls into what is called "fair use" which means you can depict characters as long as it's intent is for satire reasons, it's to protect people from being sued for doing parody. But it was an internal decision by Fox to censor it. Simpsons made a Family Joke before when Homer cloned a bunch of himself they showed Peter Griffin in the crowd, Seth Mcfarlane claims the r ape joke was his way of making fun of them back and complained it's ok for them to make fun of his show but he can't do it back, but obviously he went way over the line.

5:13 While it still doesn’t excuse what Quagmire said (especially cuz of what he said in the clip prior), he said that the newborn baby was “18” because Bonnie had been pregnant for several years on the show well past her due date. Still gross tho
