this scene alone teaches more about fighting game fundamentals than any other tutorial street fighter has made 0:06 peter zones out with a fireball against a character with poor anti-fireball options, if any, then adds pressure by doing a jump-in heavy kick to sweep, which mr. washee blocks high but gets caught by the low kick 0:09 peter throws another fireball but at close range, therefore getting massively punished and eats some damage 0:11 here we show the importance of anti-airing jumping opponents with shoryuken or any sort of anti-air, preventing mr. washee from landing a combo 0:12 as well as peter adding more pressure, but mr. washee counter-hitting him with a jab of his own, then tick-throws him into a dizzy punish seth mcfarlane is way too good at his job

peter should just try punishing mr washee washee because peters attacks aren't as high powered so he should just try to make mr washee washee hit first the only worry he really has is the grabs
@BigMac80003 жыл бұрын
Light hurricane kick to disorient into fireball, this is a great way to fake a forward movement. Sweep farther away and fish for free damage. Don't jump in on Washee, he has moves against it, instead neutral jump to bait those moves when you'd normally jump in for an easy high-low. Washee sticks his neck out, so the name of the game is slow steady pressure and then baiting. You can bait a jump-in by faking a fail-to-input fireball, just ducking and stepping forward a bit. Peter's anti-air shoryuken was great, but unnecessary, a down fierce punch will do just as well. If you find yourself close, real close, he's either going to grab or hundred hands - when that happens take a guess. If he kicks in the air, it's time to tech, but you'll be guessing... but guess, take the 50/50 and maybe you'll be right. Tech'ing the throw may actually pan out to you landing the grab before his hands come out - depends on his execution and if he's initiating with light or fierce, so tech'ing the throw is slightly better in the risk reward so default to that. The important thing is he'll capitalize on his advantage if he lands anything, so keep guessing and if he mistimes it, a wakeup shoryuken is in order, but make sure your startup is tight. When you get out a headbutt is coming to chase you, typically a light to medium so he can get optimal distance - he doesn't want to let you get away and will risk damage to stay in. But for god's sake, don't jump in. You want to go lame here, frustrate him. Up close he's an animal, but in the mid to long range he's useless. Bait his jump ins and try to hit him with the edge of your sweep - when it fails he'll likely headbutt or jump in again - a lowguard should be your first instinct, if he gets in the air, you can react with your anti-air fierce punch, so it's winning for you both ways - or you can go for the damage with a shoryuken, but only if you can do it REACT EARLY. Otherwise just normal anti-air and then follow up with a free chip from the fireball. If you react late, that's fine, just standing block. What really lost you the game Peter was not realizing he was charging his down back while you were grabbed, and you tried to fierce hadouken. Light's will tie him up with faster frames, it won't rock the damage, but light hadouken's tie him up pretty good... but simply blocking is just fine, or a neutral jump. In that space a neutral jump is good if you're just outside his air special range, but again - probably time to block. You can follow up with a hadouken or anti-air. Basically if you're out of hand slaps range, you're winning. Whenever he starts forward or leaps, he resets his charge, so make him come to you. Stop going in so hard... although your overhead fierce kick to low sweep is a powerful combo, you're overly reliant on it and against Washee it's a liability. Quit that shit, only do it when you neutral jump or back jump. If you back jump and he long range headbutt's, your fierce will beat it coming down if you throw it early. Also this scrub has it set to 1 round, so don't rush, he's a choke-king, you make him wait and play smart he'll get owned, he can't handle pressure. He's got some setups - but they ain't worth shit unless you go in, and time's on your side. You can chip him down with the life lead, so once you get it, make him crawl!

Wow, so when you brought up race (which had nothing to do with this video) I thought it was weird; now you're implying that I'm somehow committing "treason" against my own race? I hate to break it to you, but race is not an institution, it's a physical trait. Let's picture a girl who is a natural blonde, but chooses to dye her hair brown. Now a person with your thinking comes along: "What?! She's anti-blonde! She's committing treason against other blondes! She can take her hair dye and shove it up her ass!". See how stupid that sounds?
@solomonpachowiak1069 жыл бұрын
***** OK, so you're basically saying that things were better a thousand years ago, when nothing was reduced to "trivial abstract things". Interesting that you would imply narcissism is bad, but act like blatant racism is perfectly OK. I agree that today's "'Merica". mindset is ridiculous, championing for a nation that thinks it's better than everyone else just because. It's about as ridiculous as, sa, championing for a specific race that thinks it's better than everyone else. *"The Jews... ...all understand this. It's only the silly White Anti-Whites like you that don't get it."* That's hilarious, because I just happen to be Jewish. What, you think I wound up with a name like "Solomon" by accident?
@solomonpachowiak1069 жыл бұрын
***** When I say "I'm not anti-white, because I am white", you think that's ridiculous. When racist idiots like you are called out, though, you say shit like "I'm not racist, because I have black friends" and that is perfectly valid to you. Just because I am not "pro-white" doesn't mean I am "anti-white". We're human beings, and our skin color is an evolutionary trait. Saying I'm "anti-white" would make just as much sense as saying I'm "anti-brunette" or "anti-blue-eyes" etc. It's just fucking stupid.

That's it, really. Had they used two sound bytes from the game, it would have felt more natural. Minor complanit, but eh.

Match analysis: Mr. Washee Washee jumps back, Peter throws a fireball. Peter has positional advantage. Mr. Washee Washee blocks the jump-in but Peter catches him with a sweep. Peter throws a meaty fireball but Mr. Washee Washee does a forward jump on wake-up to punish and get a knockdown. Peter does a wake-up reversal to knock Mr. Washee Washee out of the air and attempts to apply pressure with an unsafe tatsu. Mr. Washee Washee hits Peter with a jump-in attack and lands the throw before closing space with a headbutt to get the stun and close out the round. There's no reason Peter should have lost this with the screen control tools he has, but Mr. Washee Washee's offense was on point.
@BigMac80003 жыл бұрын
Indeed, Peter over leveraged with jump-ins and late fierce hadouken. Laying too hard on the fierce moves in either unsafe positions, or too late execution. You don't jump in on Washee, you let him come to you, he underestimated Washee's charge potential and played right into his strengths. Zero mindgames, Peter's been playing against the computer too much and riding the shoulder buttons too long.

Mr. Washee Washee punished him for throwing a fireball too close. He DID a frame perfect punish on the hurricane kick then set Peter up with a Tick Throw that turned into a frame trap headbutt to get the stun then mopped him up with the hundred hand slap. Brutal.

I'm more impressed they punished in between the hurricane kick than waiting until after it finishes. Should have a lot of recovery frames and easy punish with a mid or heavy.
