I remember all those rides and pools. My aunt used to manage the supermarket there and we used to go in for day trips during the summer. Good Times. Thanks for sharing 👍

Used to go to Minehead and the Wales ones in the 80s. It's sad that Butlins is no longer aimed at families more little children. Years ago the Red coats used to interact with you. Now days its more standing at show entrances making sure you've booked. It's sad they have dropped all the competitions. My sisters always did the fancy dress. I used to be shoved into picture of health, later I did the holiday princess. We are going to the Bognor one in a few weeks. Not sure the Funfair has changed much! Same rides and the same paint!

I think it has gone more for the family again. I worked in Butlins Bognor in 96' and it certainly was not massively fmaily friendly with lots of stag/hen do's. Single sex bookings and adult specific weekends. Now they stop the single sex bookings and there really is not anything aimed at the young, childless adults. However I do get what you say about the queueing and booking. Over the years they have knocked down the big attractions that would spread the guests across the camp, added more capacity for guests but not added anything to replace what they have taken away.
