22 years. I was in 8th grade, Washington state, I remember my teacher turning on the tv as we watched in horror as the towers fell. Now as a father my children don’t understand what that morning was like for america as a whole. We’re so divided now, but after the terrible moments of that fateful morning, for a short time we were all unified as one for the brave men and women that lost their lives there.

My dad died that day and I was standing on the street 😢 But then I noticed a piece of paper floating down from the towers, so I caught it and it was a note written by my dad because he knew what was happening, saying he wasn't scared and that he loved everyone, but that he hated the terrorists for taking him away from me. And that is why I will never forget 😢🥺😔

I was 33 when this happened and was going to work on a sunny day and never knew what news i was going to hear upon entering the doors. The tvs were on in the cafeteria and the first plane struck. Then the 2nd. It was surreal

May all these fallen heroes and fallen families and friends rest in peace. Its very rude to meme this attack because this is a huge tragedy that happened and they decided to meme emotional deaths and lost people. How disgusting sometimes the internet is. We thank the heroes and all those who survived and helped. 🙏🙏

I don't know 9/11/01 it's just one of those dark days in American😢 History you just can't forget about😢😢😢 even if you wanted to...I remember how this woman who had never rode an airplane was hired as an airlines stewardess it was literally her first day on the job 😭😭😭😭and then there were painful stories about little young kids who perished in the planes and then those people who were working in twin towers and all the fire fighters from the new York city fire department who went into the 🔥🔥 fiery building while every one else escaped they unfortunately perished when the twin 😢 towers😢 came crumbling down it was painfully excruciating to bear witness oh my god😢😢😢😢😢I sincerely hope and I do pray 🙏🙏🙏🙏 we never have to see another dark day like 9/11/01

I can't imagine just going to work and then you just see fire people screaming 9/11 is the day we will never forget.

This was a unbelievable sacrifice. I spoke to a cop about the world Trade Center falls straight down. He called it a pancake and said " thats really strange. Thats exactly what the experts expect". I told him it would be planes.Smaller than a 747. But like them. Sept 10th night I was shaking a lot. Uncontrollably. I could not hold anything as I fled NYC. The cops and firemen stayed too face what I feared most. war in NYC

The pilots were asking for locks on pilot door. And kept saying not safe. Nothing done, no one listened. SAD.

2001 was the worst year.

I remembered when I was in the 5th grade as I was just about 11 years old, my teacher and classroom had a discussion about this. It was out of context and were saying "that the plane must've ran out of fuel", which resulted in the crash assuming that it was just your average everyday citizens. Because, mentioning about TERRORISM would be an inappropriate topic for a classroom full of kids.

I wasn't there in New York but I did heard about it on the news I was like really scared I was little back then I think I was like eight or seven years old back then I was in school when that happened and I was like so scared that we were being attacked and at the rush through my mom's classroom and I went to go hug her because I was scared I was a kid back then but now I realize that a lot of people lost their lives and a lot of people had to jump out of the building because they can't suffer from the smoke if I was there in New York right now I would like place flowers to the people who did not make it and lost their family I also want to place flowers to the pictures of United 93 their heroes who save the White House and they are watching over us in heaven so my heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones on that day and never forget Even though I'm like 28 now but I still don't want to forget
