Thanks so much walter. I missed the "boat hype" last summer I think. But thought as a summer build maybe I should give it a try. I have only build and air ship(no video) and a ghost ship once, which both were these big sail ships/pirate ships. So it was nice to do a houseboat for a change.

Yeah, it's all thos glass roofs, nothing more tbh. I would suggest for every screenshot artist etc. to try out glass roofs and different time of day etc.

@@Simproved The whole build is amazing, I didn’t mention this. But what specifically got my attention is this particular scene of the living room - it doesn’t even look cartoonish as we all know The Sims is! It’s very pleasingly aesthetic! I agree the lighting of the day and the shadows of the glass roof, combined with the combo of furniture and decorations, really change how a build looks! Thank you for sharing! 😊

That's a cool idea. But. It's not really the creativity part, it's more that a family house has usually a kitchen, bedroom(s) and bathroom(s) and living room. And that's it. It's just boring doing the same rooms over and over again. Just with different styles. I am usually more interested in interesting shapes of houses or maybe rebuilding stuff from movies and tv. Sometimes these turn out to be family houses, but not always. If you have a famous very interesting family house with blueprint let me know. I'll gladly consider it. edit: also wanted to add, I like the idea, but I'm also a bit afraid, that some cultures will feel attacked for some reason because I did something wrong on "their" respective family house. I'm German so I get my fair share of critique and of course I want to do it right. But if I haven't seen the house personally or just have like a handful of pics from one side of a house. It's a likely a project I won't do.
