Carolyn, I laughed when you said, "I like him!" Yes, mam, you do. We know you dearly love your husband and children. I really enjoyed the pictures. Not very many bother with pictures anymore. The snow was almost gone here in Hillsborough, NH. Then we got a foot of snow & ice. Lost power for 36 hours, but I'm not complaining. God Bless!

Everyone got fooled with the warm weather in Canada. Out west and down east. While watching all the videos, I was saying to myself....it's ONLY MARCH everyone and everyone seemed to forget the saying: "In like an lion out like a lamb". So after our warm weather, here in Alberta, we got dumped on. 3 days of solid snow storms. We got 32cms of snow and after 4 days we finally were able to leave our driveway and ESCAPE. ha ha PS: I certainly do not miss shoveling the 'heavy stuff' you get down there. No sir ree!!

The snow, bird feeders, fetching water, sap from trees, solitude, solace, sharing, connection, celebration of life & sharing produce and food with family. You have your health and vitality (thank goodness) & can take care of yourselves. Red meat not part of my life for decades, but the wonder and glory of the woods & wild lands has been with me since I was an early teen. LIfe changes though, unexpectedly & hopefully you adapt when needed, & for now you enjoy the pace and travel. I'd share a pineapple & melon (I got at the store) if I could.

I spent 3 years in Alaska when I was in the USAF, so snow doesn't really bother me. I also spent a week at North Bay at the NORAD facility. I would love to spend a month in your environment-- I enjoy everything associated with off-grid living-- plus I've never got to ride a snow mobile... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Pete !!!

Next time you are making thick steaks like that at the cabin, try the Sous Vide method. No better way than doing it the way the top steak restaurants do it. I bet the steaks tasted great anyway.

happy birthday Pete I'm new to the channel and hearing your backstory was great. I;m retired we also have 3 kids 1 girl 2 boys similar in ages . 2 in college 1 in high school. I would love to have these adventures or just quality time with them. I miss the younger years but it's great to see them grow and become independent as you said you are for your kids.
