having lived in an rv for four years and having gone to dozens of rv shows, that trailer looks like it’s probably about $90k-115k, but then again the truck adds another $50k
@SuperTheast2 жыл бұрын
@@keewadium only 50k for the truck is nowhere near accurate unless you buy used. The truck alone is probably pushing closer to 80k since it’s most likely a higher diesel. And I’d agree with the trailer price although probably closer to 130k instead
@keewadium2 жыл бұрын
@@SuperTheast yeah, i just did a quick search with the truck, but based off of how big that rv is and the material inside it, i doubt it’s 130k. This type of rvs don’t really get to that price unless it’s top of the line material. Regardless, the total package won’t be more than $250k in which ends up being way cheaper than the average house rn, and even if you factor in gas prices, it won’t get to the average house price for several years
@SuperTheast2 жыл бұрын
@@keewadium my toy hauler was at 100k total so I could see this at 130k with the full fridge and washer hookups. I got lucky and my truck was actually only 50k because it was pre car sale spikes. Once you add in gas and campground fees nowadays and you’re not saving all that much though. With gas costing the amount it does your still going to be paying quite a bit if you’re actively driving across the states. Most campgrounds aren’t terrible but I’ve seen some that charge quite a bit just solely because of the size. My biggest issue with the setup they have is running a semi hitch. Those things are garbage compared to gooseneck style. The only benefit they have is an easier time hookup up but outside of that they’re not that good

Because, other that the scenery changing, and seeing friends infrequently, they still have stability. The home never changes, and is a lot nicer than most normal housing. They're home schooled. So they are having a change in routine with classes, friend groups, or have to learn and give up school dynamics. They keep up a routine everyday. SOOOOO many people say that it’s horrible to not allow enough privacy for their kids and they need a social life, “this is psychological abuse” etc etc (Side note, I’m 15yrs old and AFAB) 1) I’m actually not allowed to close my door and I share my room with my aunt (tbf, there’s a 5yr difference between me and my aunt, so we’re more like sisters). When I was younger (and didn’t share a room) I HATED it (that was when I was 10-12)! But as I’ve gotten older, I realised it really isn’t the end of the world. I still get privacy despite my door being open 24/7 (it’s not like my mum just walks up and stares at me lmao, they just walk past like a normal person) and sharing a room really isn’t that bad. I hated the idea at first but it’s just annoying sometimes but not like my entire life is ruined or smthn XD They have their curtains. That’s more privacy then I get, so yes, they’re fine. 2) So. A social life. Sorry to break it to you, I barely have one and I’m not in an RV! You don’t need a permanent home to have a social life! My entire social life is online, and so are most kids nowadays! They have wifi, you’ve seen it! 3) School. You realise that 6.04% of kids are homeschooled in America alone? In the UK statistics (2016-17) show that 48,000 kids were homeschooled? Seriously, you can shut up about that one too now. (Edit) I forgot this point! 4) Not enough room? Sounds like someone has never lived in a flat before. In my old flat (we moved just over a month ago) there was hardly any space. Everywhere you went you could find someone. But despite that, I still had privacy! It really isn’t that hard! My new flat isn’t even that much bigger! Their RV looks MASSIVE to me!

Am I the only one who thinks this is acceptable? I live in an even smaller apartment with a small living room and two tiny rooms. There are 4 members in my family, and I share my room with my mom. All the other bigger apartments are too expensive so we can’t afford it. Even though we are kinda cramped together, we respect each other’s boundaries and don’t complain about it. Just because you are used to having all the space you want and being able to live a ‘luxurious’ life, doesn’t mean others have to as well. It’s their life and you don’t know them personally, so stop judging/shaming them.
