Dinah and Kristy were so good together. So glad they shared a sitcom together later on.

THIS is an example why you can't burn your bridges in entertainment. You NEVER know who you are going to end up working with - or for - later. So funny seeing them together when they were younger. I LOVED their dynamic on "Empty Nest". They were a hoot!

Now this is an episode I didn't remember. How interesting seeing "Carol" and "Barbara" from Empty Nest together here. WHo knew they would end up on a show together 10 years later.

That’s why they had such great chemistry. They worked together before. Carol was on Soap playing Bert’s daughter-in-law. The chemistry with all three actors was there. That’s what made Empty Nest so good. Buddy was alot like Mara. She is a free spirit too. I thought Kristy then looked like a white Janet Jackson.

Mara was wrong. It doesn't matter how creative and brilliant you are, when you are part of a group project you don't hog all the work for yourself and then completely change the theme from what was agreed on by the group. I don't see why Buddy was made to feel as if she was in the wrong. She put her neck out to get her friend a position on the committee and then the friend behaved badly and made things difficult for Buddy. Buddy continued to defend her friend even when things were going badly, I felt for Buddy here, not Mara. Kate is usually so level headed but not this time. She should have (gently and kindly) told Mara that she made a mistake and explained why. As it was this girl went off into the sunset thinking that she did the right things and that others just didn't understand her superiority.

I know I've said a few negative things lately about the show and I don't want people to get the wrong idea. I love the show, I love the characters. But I feel like the writing is deteriorating in this season, sadly. Things are happening that are not realistic and in keeping with how the characters as we know them would behave.

The parents drink daily in front of their kids, and Kate can be pushy at times.

Willie is such an entitled spoiled brat. He should have to work for 5 minutes.
