I love your work. That is a great piece of work. How much do you charge for that? I would love to make that but I'm kinda new to this. Will be on at 8 CDT to watch the LMR.

I will speak about it. But it is not part of any giveaway associated with LMR. As far as price goes, I put a retail price of $79.00 on this piece. The wood alone cost me around $30.00 for the piece alone. Cheaper wood of course would lower the price, but it wouldn't look as nice.

Where did you get the padouk wood. I can't find 1/8 in in 12x12

They don't have it in 12 x 12. But they have it up to 10" wide. If you have any experience gluing up boards, you can create what you need. I buy a lot of exotic and premium hardwoods from here. wphardwoods.com/products/categories/thin-dimensional-lumber/55/paduak

It was hard to see with the glare, but did you put a clear finish over everything or where did you get the shine from?

I used Rustoleum Triple Thick Glaze on both layers. It has an extremely high gloss. hobowithwood.com/3xglaze

I think each layer had two coats. That stuff can give you an excellent finish. But it took me a couple of uses to figure out the best application process. It varys from design to design. But with this particular design, I believe I applied a first coat to each layer. After drying, lightly sanded the first layer and applied a secong heavier layer to each individual layer. Once dry, I put a light coat on the bottom layer and carefully positioned the top layer into place. Using the glaze as a "glue" to attach the two layers. Once in place I final coat over the entire thing. Trying to apply this after they layers are glued up is tough to do. All the crevices make it hard to get a slick finish on it. If it is not a layered design, there is less work required to get a super slick finish. If you are after a slick, high gloss finish, once you get the hang of it, nothing compares to it.

I started to do that. I was going to an inlay that of my infinity heart, and have it positioned like it was hanging from a branch. Even thought about engraving an image in the background. But decided to keep it simple and let the beauty of the wood speak for itself.
