Most musicians either stand in place or maybe walk around the stage. Les Claypool pretty much recreates the Monty Python Ministry of Silly Walks sketch,

Lacquer Head's bassline is the purest example I've ever seen of simple but absolutely not easy. Like when I realised what he was doing it was so obvious I was amazed it had't been done by Larry Collins back in the day. And I will probably never be able to play it.

It’s funny how Fred Durst had a lot to do with Antipop. The Brown Album was a big departure for Primus and Durst encouraged Claypool to do more slap/pop based stuff like on the early albums. So they did Antipop, toured with a bunch of nu-metal bands, and then I think Claypool got sick of that whole scene. His heart is more in the jam band scene, ironically.
@tylerfletcher12912 жыл бұрын
Fred Durst had ZERO influence on Les Claypool. He was a guest producer on one song,as every song had a guest appearance on Antipop.Durst is a bubblegum poster boy.
@jordaneggerman47342 жыл бұрын
@@tylerfletcher1291 despite having a soft spot for a handful of Limp Bizkit songs, I still think you're giving Fred Durst too much credit. He happened into what he had, and got lucky the world was "ready" for it. I do, however, 100% agree with your first statement. The only influence Durst could have ever had on Claypool was maybe to show him that Durst was useless, and for Les to keep doing what he's been doing the whole time.

It was 98 or 99, I remember buying the family values album on cassette when i was 15 because of Korn and Limp Bizkit.
