change your airline, not your appetite. Kuwait Airways, Emirates Airways, and a few others have great food, animal cruelty free and they even offer snacks and tea/coffee and other great additives. presentation is absolute shit, but what do you expect when mostly everyone wants economy its like choosing between Mcdonalds and a 5 star restaurant... both could taste great , but which would look better.

A "famous" chef does not know that green bell peppers are not ripe. They are then more acidic. When they ripen and turn, preferably red, they are naturally sweeter. They are then more alkaline. So many people see me eating a large red bell as I would an apple and say, "how can you eat that, it is so HOT".

I'm willing to at least try almost anything (except for things like some of the more exotic East Asian dishes like duck embryos or fried spiders and stuff like that), but there's 3 common foods that I'm refusing to eat: Brussels sprouts, asparagus and cauliflower. If I find out who first introduced those into modern cuisine, I'd travel to where they're buried, dig them up and slap them with my shovel.
@BertGrink

Krawurxus Have you ever tasted creamed asparagus soup? It's *HEAVENLY*
@Krawurxus
@Krawurxus 6 жыл бұрын
BertyFromDK Actually, I have. I've got a large family which is universally very enthusiastic about asparagus, to my chagrin. I must've tried anything you can make it into at this point. We used to have a large vegetable garden where my grandma had a few patches where she grew asparagus herself. But something about the taste makes it unpalatable to me...
@samwinchester3411
@samwinchester3411 6 жыл бұрын
i tried asparagus because a lot of ppl said it was amazing and delicious and healthy, first, it was expensive, second maybe i grilled them wrong but, it was just strange, didnt paired well with my steak, was a strange texture and flavor, i dunno, i would buy again tho, and try if others cook it or in other recipes. what i dont get is the hate for squash, i dont know what kind do u have in USA but i LOVE squash, and i think i dont know a single person that dosnt like it, here we do mashed squash, or mixed with mash potatoes, we roast it , we stuff it with cheese and stuff, dunno, the flavor is amazing, i tried pumpking and it was kinda the same flavour but watered down a lot, maybe you need the right type of squash/pumpking

It's NOT surprising that she wouldn't like truffle oil. It's considered in bad taste, and use of poor, processed, chemical ingredients. I worked in fine dining for a number of years, with three of the best chefs in the world. Neither of them would EVER have touched it. It was absolutely considered déclassé. If you don't have real truffles, that's fine--make your meal beautifully and simply, with quality, in season, local (non-GMO, non-irradiated, etc...) ingredients. Don't use an imitation. And if you are lucky enough to have access to real truffles, enjoy them =)

My mom passed away when I was a kid. Her mom came out for a couple of months and showed us how to cook. She knew French and Viennese cuisine, and was superlative. Needless to say, I'm a pretty good cook, with one delimitation. I have a hard time preparing any foods I don't like, and there are a whole lot of those. They run the gamut right from vegetables to certain kinds of meat. Indeed, there are many foods which I detest so much that I can't even be in the same room where they're being prepared or eaten. So I understand the aversions mentioned here.

I didn't say he was. The narrator (not the celebrity chef that dislikes the green peppers) said there wasn't much to hate about green peppers, and I was pointing out that an entire country's youth disagrees with that assertion.

Pineapple pizza is so wrong and a serious slap in the face for all the good people in Napoli, Italy. Truffle oil is just gross. Airplane food? No, thanks.
