My prediction: The stock certificates are for Batterson Farms Corporation and state that they are worth $237,750,000 but are, in fact, worthless pieces of paper.

I find it interesting that Mr. Gerami does not have any connections to the schools he's pledged donations to. There is so much more to this story, and I cannot wait until all the details come out.

In 2020-2021, I had a $50M real estate stock fund, on-paper (pre-revenue). Without investors (general public) buying, it was worth $0.00😂👀👍🏿.

This gift raises more questions than answers. I know he means well but why was he & his wife & kids living with his adopted mother in a small house worth 177K ? Also, there was a Go Fund me Page for medical expense for his mother and another Go Fund me to bury his brother. If they were rich, surely they could pay those expenses. I believe he has emotional problems. He says he wants to be anonymous but wants to make keynote speech

Mr. Gerami's race is completely irrelevant. To dismiss the skepticism concerning this event as nothing more than racial bias is the epitome of ignorance. The facts will come out, and soon, concerning this situation. The "stock certificates" will be revealed as worthless, and the reputational harm to the University will be significant. President Robinson, Vice President Friday-Stroud, and Assistant Vice President Cummings-Martin should claim full responsibility for this fiasco and resign today. Likewise, any member of the Board of Trustees who had knowledge of this situation prior to May 4th should also resign today. The longer this debacle festers, the greater the harm to the University and its standing in academia. For years to come, this debacle will be taught to fundraisers and academic administrators as a lesson in how damaging the failure to conduct due diligence can be.
