на холодном моторе остановить пропеллер не получается, но если газануть разок больше 3000об\мин, то пропеллер уже можно остановить рукой в перчатке. Через некоторое время его опять клинит и остановить его становится не возможно до следующей перегазовки

Excellent video Bhaijan....simple and to the point...but would have liked to see ALL THE STEPS on how to disassemble and then put together..I had the very same Prado J100 10 years ago...now I have the J120 but with 1KZ engine...the other day while going to hometown from Islamabad, the temperature gauge was fluctuating wildly....phirr mechanic saheb ne kaha ke maybe the viscous fluid khatm ho gya hei...I though it was the thermostat...lekin thermostat agr kharab hota toh then it wouldn't fluctuate...so thats how I landed on your channel...I have subscribed...pls keep on educating the nalaiq's amongst us ustadji...the marble flooring told me that you are a fan boi and not the typical mechanic...enjoyed the language...well done

@ConditionTech Thanks for the video, I have completed the whole process, I have a question: The fan works nicely, but i've noticed the fan noise is too much as compared to a genuine setting after changing the silicone oil in the fan clutch, do you experience the same issue? Model KZJ95, 3RZ-FE Petrol
@ConditionTech
@ConditionTech 10 ай бұрын
Its making noise means that fan clutch is engaged and it is displacing air and that will give noise, but this noise should come only when it's hot outside and with air conditioning on or when the engine is at operating temperature this noise will come when it will fully engage and then noise should go away once it has cooled the radiator enough. On cold start noise should come at startup and then once the fan starts spinning it should go in slip mode until the vehicle heats up. If noise is constant that means your fan clutch is faulty and it is engaged all the time and that will also affect fuel economy. Hope it helps.

Can the fan clutch require new oil even if there is no silicone fluid leak? Does the old fluid break down & wear out? My fan clutch has the same problem: it will spin freely when hot engine is shut off. However, the fan clutch doesn't have any leaks.

Yes, just like any other lubricant it does break down over time. Ideally you should be replacing it every 5 years or so, although almost no one does it

Hello, thanks for the video and I have a question. My fan had the same issue and i filled it up with oil, after installing back, the fan make too much spinning sound especially over 2000rpm, the acceleration is not as responsive and fast as before. Do u have any suggestion?
@robt6695
@robt6695 11 ай бұрын
Hi there, you may have overfilled yours will oil. These clutches are designed to slip at lower temperatures so they are not engaged all the time. If yours is engaged always, you will get less acceleration response and worse fuel economy. Looking at mine at the moment, it looks like mine is locked on too much and not slipping when cold

What is the workaround? do I have to redo the process and extract excess oil?I happen to have the same issue, less acceleration more noise. @@robt6695

Great video. Mashallah Bhaijan. One question. Can I use treadmill silicon oil because I can’t get Toyota silicone oil?
@ConditionTech
@ConditionTech Жыл бұрын
Thank you!, Silicone oil for fan clutch is too thick and it's made for fan clutch only, Treadmill oil may not perform properly. Find fan clutch oil from automotive market, not necessarily genuine toyota one, and that will work. All cars with this fan type have similar oil and it should be available.

Is this a normal procedure? Did it make a difference or fix the problem? Couldn't understand the language in the video sorry.
@ConditionTech
@ConditionTech 2 жыл бұрын
Apologies, we will upload English subtitles for understanding. Yes this procedure is normal for old vehicles equipped with clutch fan system, this fan is connected with engine through a belt but when it is cold outside this fan rotate slow and free but as hot air touches this fan from front it engages through a liquid inside and it gets locked with its rotating pully to move more air for cooling, in this vehicle fan clutch was not engaging even when it was full hot so we added some clutch silicone, if you see in start of video where i switched engine off but fan kept spinning, later after addition of fan silicone and after bring engine to full heat fan stopped on switching off engine as it was engaged with pully, that how it should be and we corrected it. Hope it helps, Regards

How much silicone oil required in this clutch
@ConditionTech
@ConditionTech 2 жыл бұрын
Total 2 to 3 small bottles of silicone oil should be enough. Many people say that the cavity i was pouring silicone oil in should be fully filled. I didn't completely fill the reservoir but it worked because its oil quantity was low.
