NUFC fan here - to be fair that's the strongest starters/bench we've been able to put out since Oct/Nov as injured players are finally coming back - so the form stats are a bit misleading and skewed by Dec-Feb results when we were absolutely threadbare. No shame in losing to that team though. We've lost 10 games away this season, but we're a different squad now that we're getting players back from injury. Nov > Feb we had 11 fit firest team players and our results suffered.

Absolutely right about changing the team Joe, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I actually said that very thing at a point in the game where all three midfielders were within 5 feet of each other and still couldn't do anything with the ball. Just cancelled each other out. Cullen and Berge have been great this last 8 games, bring Brownhill in the mix from the KO and it all goes to pot. Many has been the time when VK seems to have got his team selection all wrong and the timing of substitutes too. He has to take at least some of the blame for where we are at.

Not a pen for me but wouldn’t have mattered in the end if it makes you feel any better. We’ve got the worst injury record in premier league history, that’s why we lost at Luton. We were smashing the top 6 and PSG prior. No shame in getting battered by us now we have a couple of players back. Best of luck next season 👍🏼

Newcastle fan here. Never a pen in a million years. It would have changed nothing anyway Newcastle don't give up when they gk behind that was the key difference here. We turned it on for 30 minutes after the first goal but, to be honest I was disappointed at how your lads rolled over. We have been in plenty of relegation battles over the years and I would be a bit concerned about how your lads capitulated

Newcastle are on good form at the moment 5 wins in 6 and pushing for top 6 again and starting to get injured players back just a bit of playing them at the wrong time could have been a diffrent story 8 weeks ago.

In the last couple of months Burnley have shown they can compete, that game against Man Utd proved that, but it’s just a little too late..? And the fact Forest and Luton got positive results yesterday has practically sealed your fate. Obviously it’s not written in stone yet, and you never know what may happen, but from an outsiders POV it’s not looking good.

They got at us down the left a number of times and it cost us. It looked like early in the season when every man but the dog played at Left back. Kompany has Taylor sat on the bench. No disrespect to Vitinho but Taylor is a far better defender. Lots to do in the summer for us. Broken record time; NO NO Fire power! That must be sorted in Summer.

VK talks a good talk... but for me ( we will see what happens in Championship) same old same old.. hes slotting in with the likes of Lampard / Gerrard.. great players, management not for them. 😞

Newcastle fan here. Fuck man i like seeing smaller teams like burnley stay up, but wtf was today? Newcastle were not good at all, that was such a low quality game. Kompany played good football in the championship but how many games in the championship were teams who thought well, nobody is beating burnley so lets just get this over with. A full season of kompany not addapting for the prem has just demoralised rhe burnley players, that was a burnley team that just looks fed up with this season. Genuinely feel for burnley fans this season, you deserve way better from your team, deserve a better manager, deserved better refereeing with that penalty too.
