Useful basic moves! The silk on the right hand fan starts to peel off. You can fix it by applying a little double sided tape.

I love your videos. I learned how to dance with a veil from watching your videos. I'm trying to learn the fan veil. I'm smiling where you say, "and you just open your fan" haha. My fan doesn't just open. I haven 't got the hang of it yet. The fan veil is much harder for me than just the veil. Any other tips for opening my fan?

:D Hi Janet :) check first if you are holding your right fan in right hand, and left fan in your left hand - fans open only on one side. If they are brand new, the opening will be a bit harder than with the used ones. I keep my fingers crossed!

Thank you for posting this tutorial. I have some inexpensive veil fans from China for my class and they appear much longer than what you are showing here. How long are your veil fans? I'm new at this type of veil.

There are so many fan veils on eBay or Aliexpress, you can find them also on Facebook groups. Before buying check this: fabric (it must be silk), material (bamboo) and peaces (two peaces: for left and right hand!!!).

They're about $30 for a nice pair on amazon also!!
