Omg life saver! I had a t300rs for years. Got to 83rd place in the world on time trials. Got a DD1 and I can’t even finish a stage! Thank you!!

Thanks Karl, total game changer. Spend so many hours on this game to get this right but never worked like I wanted it. So frustrating…. But now I love it and can come back to this 🥰🍺

The setting the system produces upon connection are horrendously horrible Playing GT 7 and it's so fine tuned out the box dirt 2.0 really needs a patch from codies.

16:35 very logical points and well spoken on the subject, I use 300-360 for everything lol, I need those tier 1 credits from the daily challenges!

@@KarlGosling Don't worry! I make up for it by using my stock g27 shifter as a terrible hand brake, I really need to do that mod you showed myself (so it springs back to center on release)

great guide. It helps me a lot to set FFB for Moza R9. I found that your in game sliders are in the perfect spot for R9 (just a small increase on Wheel Friction and small decrease on Collision). Since i would like to publish those in game settings, i would like to ask permission to publish them. All credits will belong to you and i'll link this guide. If you'll grant permission, it will be great. Otherwise i'll keep them for myself.

I’ve had my g29 for awhile now. I love playing sim racing. It’s actually the only games I’ve been playing lately. Well if my wheel would let me. It started acting up about 2 weeks ago and it’s unusable. I’m looking into purchasing a new wheel, but I need to save up for it. I’m hoping I’m able to buy a set within the next few months.

Ok I get why you put FFB strngth to 100% but putiing your DD1 into linear mode screws the whole effect of different forces. Can you please explain why you chose it? You skip that part in your video.

Nice video, some super useful info. Just wondering if you use fanalab as this enables you to use profiles to set the force feedback for in the tuning menu for each individual game.

Hi Karl, under calibration there is a section that says "Calibrate Steering to 90 Degrees" I am a bit confused at this part because you can't get to 90 degrees on the DD.

Just wondering if there is a setting for how many newton meters you want to use if you own a DD1/2. With my CLS DD there is of course the 5nm power pack and then the upgradable 8nm power pack and of course the 8nm power pack is a must have.

Not as such no, thats not something you need to set, if the FFB is to heavy/strong then adjust the settings down as in this video.

Are you doing a CSL DD base review sometime? I’m thinking about buying a DD wheel, but dont want to spend like €1000 for just a base. Also, do you think it’ll be worth it to get a DD wheel just for F1 2021 on Playstation? Maybe i switch to pc if F1 2022 supports crossplay or VR.

@@GT1GT I should also mention my Fanatec settings. I'm still messing with these. FF - 100 FFS - Linear NDP - 60 NFR - 10 NIN - 5 INT - 5 FEI - 100 FOR - 120 SPR - 100 OPR - 100 I don't have the boost kit

@@ohgeez9971 Thx....and just a tip, save up for that 8nm boost kit. I bought it right when I got my Fanatec GT CSL DD PRO Express version and drove on the 5 nm for about 4 hours then switched it out for the 8nm and totally changed the experience, worth every penny in my opinion.

@@GT1GT Does it just allow you to make everything stronger? I seldom have mine up to 100% in the games, so I didn't think there was any reason to get it.

Hi Karl, any thoughts regarding Simucube 2 Pro as it is my upgrade from Thrustmaster TS-PC Ferrari 488 Challenge This is my birthday and Christmas present for the next 5-6 years as the cost to get it shipped to South Africa is insane.

Congratulation, but the FFB on default is horrible with the SC2 Pro. Karl's DR2-settings are a good starter and in True Drive I'm running dampening on 14%, friction on 3%, intertia on 8%, strenght on 63%, but the most important setting for me is the steering range at 450° only. The same 'trick' I do in WRC10, which I also prefer overall.

I have no experience with any of the Simucube wheel bases sorry Falvio! As per this video though I wouldn't use a fixed steering range (DOR or Lock) as it takes so much away from the sim when driving all the different cars, soft lock is a must IMO.

@@KarlGosling I'm using 900° for every other title (minus WRC10 and Kartkraft), but in the Dirt-titles it IMO always sucked while creating tons of understeer. In real Rally-cars you can adjust the steering lock to your liking, but not in DR2. Walter Röhrl for example preferred very sensible steering and even in a 60's Porsche it looks like he's only using a few degrees of the rotation. This way you can go opposite lock in a reasonable time (what gamepad-players can do in a split of a second).
