Steve Philipson mate you are so welcome I am really glad this helped. I have transitioned to Heusinkveld Sprints but I still believe the V3’s are an amazing set of pedals with so much potential for adjustments and fine tuning. I know this video is a little old but I just bought a new Fanatec club sport 2.5 and v3 pedals. I found myself in the same situation seems a few others were in. Thanks for.making this video, I'd really like to be able to fine tune my brakes, but I'm having some issues hetting this to work. When I apply full brake force and then start to dial down the rotary switch in the BRF setting, my slider in the wheel properties doesn't move, even if I get back to zero. Any ideas?
@SpartanRacing4 жыл бұрын

@bjornar835 жыл бұрын

I'm assuming that these adjustments/calibrations are saved within the wheel base so if you decide to go from PC to Console, the settings do not changed?
@SpartanRacing5 жыл бұрын
I can't answer that unfortunately as i do not sim race on a console, sorry
@anthcesana6 жыл бұрын
Nice vid, just one suggestion. People (like me) that have their pedals connected directly to the PC via USB will not see the Brf setting in the wheel. This setting is only for pedals that are connected to the wheel deck. For what it's worth, you get the best resolution when connected to the PC directly. Not sure if it's different with the wheel base connection but I know other ways like with consoles, you lose some of the performance because the pedals are not direct to the PC.
@SpartanRacing6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Anton, I appreciate the suggestion. I just put this together the way I had the pedals connected, which, like you mentioned is connected to the base. I am sure there are different and maybe better ways to get more out of the pedals and usage. Thank you for your information.
@RVRCloset6 жыл бұрын
According to Fanatec this only apply when you use the V3 on an older wheel base. You then get 8 bit resolution, but on new wheel base and pc it's the same, 12 bit. However, if you have the CSL Elite LC pedals this is true. The Load cell / brake pedal have 16 bit resolution when connected to pc, and on wheel base only 12 bit as max.
@SpartanRacing6 жыл бұрын
R-VR Closet yup that is correct. I have a V2 base and the pedals connected to the base. Although I have set my friends V2.5 and it works the same connected to the base. You are correct when plugged straight to the PC you do not have a he Brake force option although we have tried both ways and I prefer having the option to adjust the brake force. It just gives more control in my opinion. But whatever works for you is the right way. We each have different driving styles and requirements. This video was the missing link fo me that changed my braking for the better. Good luck.
@RVRCloset6 жыл бұрын
Yeah the CSW V.2 should also have 12 bit connected to the wheel base, even with CSW V.1. You have to go back to the CSR to gain from using a USB to pc with the V3 pedals. And this option to be able to set them up directly on the rim sounds awesome!

Gsu Racing hi there have you tried setting a new min and max fro the brake and clutch?
@biturbo3 жыл бұрын
After some months with a new single hard elastomer mod, i don't understand well the right procedure to maximize the feeling of pedal on setting to prevent locking in iRacing. Everytime in the Fanatec drivers page, i setup the min and max in a different mode, one time too sensible, one time don't brake well. I don't undestand if i have to push smooth or faster seeing the blue line and the good moment clicking set min and max ;(
@SpartanRacing3 жыл бұрын
Nit sure I quite follow unfortunately I have not had the Fanatec pedals for sometime, I have Heusinkveld pedals not. The rate of pressure on the pedal is determined sometimes by the car you are using. The idea of this setup is to give you a base line to start form
@brunodomiter44155 жыл бұрын
Dear Guys! If anyone could bea a help with my issue I would be very thankful... I'm not sure if it's appropriate to post this here. I have the pedals nearly for two years. they're connected directly to my PC (for resolution reasons). I am pretty sure my load cell is way to sensitive. I turned the stiffnes knob on the pedal to its maximum, in the software i run also everything to max, yet i can press my brake with half(ish) force and my signal reaches maximum... I sent the video to Fanatec they replied they didn't discover nothing wrong... i think that's not true. I mean it because i had the CSP V2 before, where the break sensitivity was operated manualy with an outside knob. There i had it turned a little more than half-way and I couldn't reach the top of the signal with the strongest pressing possible... and that was a 50kg load cell... For the V3 they claim it's a 90 kg load cell. I don't have any dsmpers or braking kits installed. I don't think i need one, because i'm satisfied with the travel. Any help is more than apreciated.

Can I ask I take it that you don’t have the break performance kit on for this setup guide
@SpartanRacing3 жыл бұрын
Yes always had the performance kit. Unfortunately I don’t have these pedals any more I have moved to Heusinkveld Sprints

@@SpartanRacing Oh ok I’m struggling a little with the Break Performance Kit as it reduces the pedal travel too much for me makes it a little too stiff
@SpartanRacing3 жыл бұрын
@@magz9816 the real idea is to have minimal travel. You have to realise that race cars are not family cars the braking is determined and sharp not slow sloppy braking like in a normal car. This the Heusinkveld pedals I have about 4 mm of travel and I have more control. It seems counterintuitive but if you look at videos of real race drivers their brake pedals are super stiff with minimal travel. It took me a while to get used to it but once it clicks it adds so much control. Good luck.

Hi There, I don't have Fanatec pedals any more but if I remember rightly you go to the Settings tab and there is a pedal option that you check which gives you access to the Max and Min buttons

hm, I don't even got this breakforce option O.o

HomieFFM hi there, if you have the pedals plugged straight into I your computer then if does not come up. It’s only when the pedals are plugged into the Fanatec base
