Written by the team of Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, "(Hey) Fancy Pants!" is the title song of the 1950 comedy Western Fancy Pants in which it is sung to the unlikely hero Bob Hope by his leading lady Lucille Ball, although her voice was dubbed by Annette Warren. The song is thematic, but the film is far stronger, thanks to Hope's typical deadpan patter.

If you listen to the Lux radio version she sings and it's loads of fun because her personality comes through.

In defence of Lucy,I just saw an Old Movie of hers and she had a Beautifull voice and I believe it was really hers.

it's a shame.....Don't cast lucille ball in a movie that requires singing....and then have someone else do her singing! Why not let her sing? She would have pulled it off....She's lucy for crying out loud. She didn't have to sound like Ethel Merman......I think her voice matched her character and her singing would have been fine. ....After all...Everyone Loves Lucy!
