I am heading to Gdansk and then Warsaw in the begging of December for the Christmas markets. I just re-watched you videos on Gdansk & Warsaw just for some travel chips. Just a FYI the Buffalo, NY Dyngus Day celebration brings out around 100,000 people for a one day event. Buffalo is known as America’s capital for Dyngus Day

I found you guys a year or two ago when I wanted to find a couple specific recipes from memories growing up. My Oma is 84. She still cooks traditional meals, but not quite the same anymore due to abilities etc. I fondly remember being dragged all over the place, visiting different events with her and her friends and the wonderful amazing atmosphere and cultures that are a big part of me but not a day to day standard. My mum made traditional foods sometimes but she is more Australian than European in behaviours I guess. :) so the only times I got to 'be' Polish and German was with my Oma. So, to this day I actively seek these things and try to incorporate my historical culture into day to day life a bit more, especially around Christmas time. I find it incredible that food, traditional foods, have such meaning nowadays and hold so much memory for everyone. Its an amazing thing. My absolute favourite traditional foods from memory are croquettes, pierogi, goulash, plum cake/torte, what I now know as bee sting cakes, the amazing gingerbread, herring salad, cucumber salads, fried noodles, cabbage rolls, stuffed capsicums, presswursts, viennas, tongue sausage, a sour cream beetroot salad, and a stuffed flatbread type thing with meat and potatoes that i had once when i was about 12 and have never been able to find since. Sooooo many good memories and amazing food.

CHEVY SHOOK A SHIT !! I love that movie. Glad to see a new video. Hopefully we will be able to see you in Grand Rapids to meet you two. Wyandotte Michigan still has a big Polish Festival every year and a few others scattered around. Where we are right now, we have two Polish markets we can go to. Strodek's known for their pierogi and Polish Market in Troy, across the street from the Polish American Club. Huge selection. Waiting for the cookbook to arrive, just got the notice in my email, sister in law is excited to hear since it's going directly to her. Hopefully we are going to be all moved into our house in Roscommon and the other one sold. Glad you have a real house now, kitchen looks like it should be big enough for video production. If in Northern Lower Michigan, you can drop in for some wobble pops.
