Elijah Wood portrayed Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit, in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and is also known for his roles in Deep Impact, Back to the Future Part II, Flipper, The Faculty, Spy Kids 3: Game Over, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sin City, Happy Feet, and many more.
Sean Astin was Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and is also known for The Goonies, Rudy, Alphas, Stranger Things, 24, The Strain, Encino Man, and many more.
Billy Boyd played Pippin in The Lord of the Rings but is also known for his roles in Seed of Chucky, Doom Patrol, The Witches of Oz, Empty, Taggart, and more.
Dominic Monaghan was Merry in The Lord of the Rings (and on stage with Sean), and is also known for his roles in Lost, Moonhaven, Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker, Flashforward, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and more.

i’m so glad the men they cast for these roles are so real and humble and kind. it is so rare for main characters of a cast to come together so often for the fans. really beautiful to see them keep the magic alive

Alot of people say Dominic isnt because of an incident about a co star on the show lost being abusive and Dom made it up or something and he also sent mean tweets to a girl. But does one or two bad things define a person? I'd like to say no. These 4 guys seem amazing so yeah XD

Sean is just how I imagined him to be the, smart big brother, responsible, funny but serious at the same time. I fell in love with him and I always cry in all his scenes great great actor really...that role was made for him cannot picture anybody doing it.

Gosh Domonic Monagan is on fire with his sense of humour. They're all funny. Billy Boyd doesn't look in his 50s and neither does Sean Astin. They look in their 40s to me. You'd guess around the same age as Elijah and Domonic. Lord of the Rings is brilliant. 👍

I was there!! So fun and they are all such sweet people. Amazing that they spent the time going to all the cons this year to meet fans and make their dreams come true. I never thought I would meet them all and it was so surreal to meet them on multiple occasions within the same weekend

I ran straight into Billy Boyd in Williams Sonoma in Santa Monica several years ago and didn't say anything to him, but was so excited! I ran back to my boyfriend and said, "Oh my God that's Billy Boyd!" Boyfriend- blank look on his face. I said, "He played Pippin, in Lord of the Rings." Boyfriend said he'd never seen LOTR. I dumped him immediately.

So grateful for this franchise and these four hobbit actors. Absolutely perfect for the roles they were playing. Also, Elijah's laugh gives me an instant seratonin boost everytime I hear it. Adorable and infectious.

Christopher Lee kind of inspired the creation of heavy metal. The guys from Black Sabbath intentionally wanted to make the sort of musical equivalent of the Hammer Horrer theater across the street from where they practiced. Then, in a part of unintentional Irony, Christopher Lee loved Black Sabbath, and that inspired him to start his own band (Charlemagne). Sir Lee even has 3 (yes two) heavy metal christmas albums lol.

When Billy started describing himself, how many other's believed his beginning of, "Handsome. Elegant..," was going to be followed by ,"Intelligent. Sweet?" And possibly half off? (curious as to how many people understand this reference.) Also in the same question, for Elijah, it would have been hysterical if he'd added, "Not Daniel Radcliffe."

I always find it amazing that Hobbits can build beautiful Shires, secure circular housing with round doors and windows, a lovely pub where Rosie Cotton worked, cutlery, crockery, and all manner of beautiful artefacts yet they couldn’t make boots or shoes! Fascinating.

My comments/question, had I been there and able to ask it: DOM, I loved you already in HETTY WAINTHROP. BILLY, I loved your singing in RETURN OF THE KING and I'm of Scottish ancestry on my father's side. SEAN, I love your parents too and your mom could ALWAYS make cry. A whole family of FINE actors! Sam's comment about struggling on because we have to believe there's some good left in the world is my favorite bit of dialogue in the LOTR films. ELIJAH, my maternal grandmother's maiden surname was 'Wood.' Hiya, cousin! QUESTION FOR ALL: You all collaborated on these films, and millions worldwide now have them etched on our minds and hearts as an epic story of friendship, loyalty, love, perseverance, frailty, obsession, strength, courage, compassion, triumph, and of course the battle between good and evil. Your lives were all changed by creating these films and so were your audience's lives enobled by watching them. Could you please share your personal thoughts about the transformative power of great and epic storytelling?
