So Judy performed with Fanny and years later with Barbra Streisand who portrayed Fanny. That's very rare. It happened with Streisand too. She sang with Ray Charles, then years later with Jamie Foxx, who portrayed Ray.

My mother is 100 years old and occasionally she’ll say “I don’t wanna!” as a joke. I now realize she’s imitating Baby Snooks, who she would’ve heard on the radio in the 1930s.

The fact that Fanny Brice could be a beautiful model one time and, at other times, transform to a Baby Snooks, proves that she was a great actress.

I had forgotten about Fanny Brice until quite recently and never watched or listened to any of her material. I remember as a kid back in the late 1960s reading about her in the World Book encyclopedia, and asked my mother if she had heard of Fanny Brice and essentially said she was a real riot. Indeed!! As others have mentioned, there are two great legends shown here!

@@smitherin71 Sure, there are always people with different points of view. But I think that we have become too politically correct in our age. Saying that I don't like old (fully grown) women playing babies is not speaking against old women in any way. I am considered old myself although I don't feel it.

This is so creepy Edit: Okay so I guess I have to clarify things because apparently, according to some of you, I just “don’t like this because it’s old.” No bro, grown adults playing children, playing BABIES ARE WEIRD. Wow, they were great. Of course, Fanny is funny. But I'm kind of allergic to people playing kids. It's been done so many times by so many comics, it's kind of easy. But what I'm surprised about is Judy's acting : she's so real. Her performance hasn't aged a bit.

A little bit, but because we're invited to laugh--jeer, ridicule-- at a woman who cries when she caught her husband kissing another woman, the child's nurse (nanny) and again to laugh at a man whose wife made him "weep" because he pretended to be sleepwalking when caught going to the nurse's room at night. Both involve heartbreak and betrayal and the loss of trust or even marital love, yet we're invited to laugh. So yeah, today we cringe at such callousness, as well as full grown women pretending to be little girls and boys.
