Honestly though, the Canon versions of Sans and Papyrus are just a lot more appealing to me. Not just because they’re a lot more relaxed and chill, but also because of the air of mystery they have around them. Like, did you see how strongly people in the fandom reacted to the undertale newsletter of Papyrus remembering he was in a place with grass before Snowdin? Also Papyrus’s “you guys suck” at the end there was totally justified. 10/10

I remeber thinking Undertale was some horror game for a few years until I actually experienced the game myself. Seeing images of fanon genocide Sans certainly didn't help. Knowing he was an incredibly hard boss fight, I just assumed he was the was the main villian or something since I didn't know who he was nor how your choices impact the game.

Just a little correction there, Frank is not cannon whatsoever, but Papyrus say´s that his "SPECIAL ATACK!" is a "BLAST!" So he sure have and use Gaster Blasters. I honestly like to imagine Frank as canon

I love how fannon Papyrus is just taller, like you do know that sans is a midget right? just a little taller than Frisk, so Papyrus would look like a giant just by being normal height So, while Papyrus' height of very tall may be fannon, to make cannon papy the height that you have may also be fannon as now he's short-ish. Cannon Sans' hand is also "fannon", as his hand is never shown to have fingers... Oh, and one more thing, while papy may not have blasters, the fact that he doesn't know what one is also a very ridiculous concept. Sans is his damn brother, obviously he would know his attacks. i think these fanons have gotten old and everybody knows they're wrong and at the time they were used frank wasn't a thing but i love seeing people joke around the silly old fanons. frank WOULD fit into papyrus character though, it's just so silly. undertale fun facts and things you might not have known because yes -we actually know papyrus' special attack is a gaster blaster. it's implied in his room: "HEY, THOSE ARE ALL THE ATTACKS I DIDN'T USE ON YOU! To be honest, Sans does most probably know Gaster closer than just "That one guy" considering he uses Gaster Blasters, and Papyrus MIGHT have Gaster Blasters himself since his special attack would have "Blasted" you if he used it. That being said, this video is very true.

We do know he can use them based off what he tells you after you spare him in a genocide route and go to talk to him in his house. He mentions his special attack being something that would “blast” you away. So i say it confirms he can use them

Fun fact: Gaster being Sans and Papyrus's father is a headcannon. It's not directly canon, but it is hinted in the game. 1. Gaster, Sans and Papyrus are the only ones with a special font. Sans has the comic sans font, Papyrus has the papyrus font, and Gaster has the winding font. 2. If you reset the game before Sans judges you, after some time, he will give you a key to his room. It's mostly trashed, but in one drawer is a key. The key opens a door behind Sans's house. Before completing pacifist, the image will be a poorly drawn picture with 3 people smiling on it. It must be Sans, Papyrus, and someone else, because it's behind their house. The options are very limited. It can't be Toriel, because Sans never saw her, he only heard her voice. It can't be Asgore either, because he's too far from them both. It also can't be Alphys or Undyne, because Undyne doesn't smile too much, and it wouldn't make any sense, because the picture says "don't forget" Alphys also can't be the one, as they didn't meet too often, and again, the text. It would only make sense if Gaster was the one, that would also explain the text.

Actully there is alot of thoery that canon papyrus is able to use gaster blaster because in the pacifist run he threaten you to use his special attack which refrenced to the gaster blaster

I’m pretty sure it is canon that Sans and Toriel were implied to be romantically involved/definitely interested in each other from your “date” with him when he talked about her AND the pacifist route saving you from Asgores battle. She gets all flushed when she hears his voice and they bond over that, Asgore gets sad and Undyne pulls the Zuko quote out on him.
