Shame on Phoenix/Arizona for having two perfectly capable Arenas to use and neither one of them stepping forward until they got the arena situation squared away. They built that arena in Glendale for absolutely nothing, I guess. Btw I wonder if the winnepeg Jets will get their full history back?

Neither worked. The original arena dosent have sightlines for hockey, only NBA. Leaving many seats with only 2/3 view. And Glendale was a bad idea from the start. The city gave the old owner a ton of money to build it their next to a new shinny NFL stadium. But 80% of their ticket holders are from the east valley side. And traffic is terrible to get their on I-10. Only way they were going to stay in a new arena is if it was in the east side in Tempe or Scottsdale

So we're now number 1 on the expansion team bid. There's also rumors the current owner is gonna sell his rights to the bid to another potential owner in an attempt to appease Glendale. We'll probably get the Yotes back at Desert Diamond Arena again before the lease is even up.

@@JoeLouis-hc7mm Like I said in my other comment there's a lot of rumors we'll get the Yotes back before the Glendale Arena even gets a new sponsor. New ownership should make Glendale like the idea of bringing us back! For now tho... The arena is host to AZ Rattlers games (Arena Football IFL) (the most successful Arena Football team of all time... (Shout-out the Iowa Barnstormers for number 2))! So at least it's not empty! 👍👍

It was known that if we wanted to see a Canadian hockey team play. Come to Phoenix , rent a car , drive from Vegas ! The food , price of tickets was still much cheaper than going to a home game.

the OWNER has not said anything about moving out of arizona he is not even mentioned anything about it except a letter that said he would talk about it when it was time all of the sudden we draw to conclusion
