Say what you want about Negan, but he played the hell out of that part.

It’s actually pretty hilarious that people thought they wouldn’t get Glenn’s iconic moment and I’m so glad the show had the balls to actually do it

You hear it over and over... people saying they're done with the show after Glenn/Abraham dies. But goddamn people, appreciate the fact that the show had the balls to do it and stay true to the source material. And as sad and traumatic as it is, it adds to the atmosphere of danger and loss in the show. They can't just "win" the entire time and have no stakes whatsoever. This type of scene reminds everyone just how fragile things are in this world...and in turn, how fragile they are in our world too.

I still remember Glenn's introductory words "hey dumbass" -Glenn And Glenn's sad ass last words "Maggie, I will find you." -Glenn

I love how if you rewatch this scene you will notice that negan don't really chose at random, he notice the reaction of everyone when he points at someone, he kills abrahan because he sustained his eyes instead of showing fear, and after that he choose to not kill daryl because he knows that if someone else dies for his mistake this will haunt him and the group (and problably goes for gleen because he noticed that many people looked afraid of his death)

Took me almost 2 years to return after this episode. Crazy how you can get so attached to characters, you feel like you know them.

Everyone’s hating on Darryl, but no one thought for a second, what must’ve gone through his mind during that. He just saw someone, that he began trusting a lot, get their brains beaten out. And Negan’s still egging him on. (Everyone should already know Darryl does not have the best anger management issues) He keeps going until Darryl, the one who had to kill his brother, the person he viewed as a father get his head chopped off, the girl that he was finally putting his faith into get shot in the head after he lost her and finally found her again, finally fuckin loses it. And then, it’s written all over his face that this time, he couldn’t redeem himself or avenge his comrades, as the one person, the one pizza delivery man, that he’s known since the very beginning of this apocalyptic world, get *his* face smashed in. I don’t hate Darryl. He’s someone who’s always been put through the worst parts of the ringer.

I remember reading that Steven Yeun (Glenn) had to message his parents to tell them it was fake and he was alright after watching the episode.

What a great job they did. 5 years later and this episode still brings out the emotions.

This death. I remembered this day I couldn't sleep, it felt like a family member died. It hit me that hard.

It's 2022 and I'm still with the show watching the final episodes, and I gotta say, this has been the best ride thanks to all of the fans for experience this masterpiece together. With that being said this is still the most depressing, ruthless, hopeless and cruel episode to this day but it showed respect to the comic and Glenn by giving us something to look back on, Glenn will never be forgotten and Rick should have listened to Morgan.

this issue the producers and writers made with the show was killing two MAIN characters at once, one who we hold most dear to heart similar to rick and his son, and another lesser but main character. This led to Abraham's death being overlooked for the most part.

I remember everything about this: the season 6 finale fakeout, the outrage, the looong wait to find out what actually happened, and the shook that they somehow managed to actually make it all worthwhile by showing Glenn’s death as faithfully as possible. It was shocking and probably the most memorable moment I’ve ever seen in TV.

I loved this episode I know we lost Glen but this episode sent chills down my spine with the way Negan dealt with the issue. I have never seen a villain introduced in such a fashion. The whole episode I was at the edge of my seat. This has to be the best episode of Walking dead for me. RIP Glen and Abraham.

I love the call back in the episode title: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be. I'm pretty sure everybody knows this already, but when Edwin Jenner let the group out of the CDC headquarters in Season 1 instead of killing them all, Rick tells Jenner, "I'm grateful" and Jenner replies, "The day will come when you won't be." - This was that day for Rick.

I actually really enjoyed this episode. It shows how Rick and his people were too overconfident, thinking that they easily can kill Negans Saviors. It was a very emotional episode too and in my eyes Negan is the most dangerous antagonist in the whole TWD universe. His psychological torture and numbers were just terrifying and I never saw Rick that destroyed before. I not a big fan of happy ends so seeing the group not only losing but also losing two great members was very sad but thats why I liked it. I love such movies, scenes, series etc which make me cry, raging or very surprised like this.

My dad said that episode gave him nightmares. I’m glad I knew what scenes to skip😅. Also that should’ve never happened to Glen. Out of all the characters on this show (that was alive at that time) he was the most wholesome person and I miss that character.😭

i stopped watching after this, i couldn’t. glenn was my favorite the second i heard him, i got shirts and posters and blankets of him i met him. i LOVED him, he was always my favorite character, him and maggie quickly became my comfort. when i thought glenn died i quit watching, and then my friend told me to watch again it was a surprise with glenn and when i saw he was alive i cried happy tears i screamed and laughed that he was alive. i remember on the cliffhanger i really thought it was glenn because of the comics, and when it was abe i was crying hard it hurt to see him go. when they killed glenn i had to shut off the TV, i didn’t touch it until i found out about dead city. i forever love glenn.

wow...coming back to see this reaction after seven years... what have we become? This was pretty traumatic for its time and still not over it. I sure do miss watching this show as a collective... with friends and family... Its 2024 and we as a society is just not the same.

This was one of the few episodes of any show or movie I had to stand up watching the entire time.

I was genuinely shaking when I watched this episode I had been anticipating it for so long. You know a show has done shock value right when every reaction to the scene has people actually screaming for minutes LOL.

Crying off watching this. Watching the actual episode traumatised me. I was a sobbing emotional wreck.Still haven't gotten over Glen.

After the episode where Carl died, I literally couldn't bring myself to watch it again. 4 years later I finally picked it back up again and am 1 ep away to the ending of season 10 and my GOD have things changed. I love it all over again, thought it'd be lacking from them killing off more than half the original characters but they still made it pretty good.

I've watched a lot of shows, and seen a lot of my favourite characters die, but Glenn's death *actually* made me shed a tear... Glenn's death was that moment when I officially gave up on the show.

Stephen King once wrote (I'll have to paraphrase): "If the audience doesn't like a character, blood will fly everywhere and they will remain unimpressed. If the audience likes, even loves, a character, blood will fly everywhere and they cannot be unimpressed." The reaction to Abraham and Glenn's death is a good barometer of how liked these characters were. Especially Glenn.

One of the best episodes of TV history, or at least from what I know, it in fact was so good, that it was the reason I got into TWD

I love this scene so much for two reasons. One, it was a super badass way to introduce one of the most intense, life-changing, ballsy, iconic villain in any show I've seen. It was a complete game changer once Negan showed up. Two, it was such a grim reminder that there's no such thing as plot armor in a show like this. This was the directors way of proving that fact. After fans kept chanting for the good guys and thinking they'll win with no repercussions, they pull something like this off. The most effective way to shut them up and put them back in line.

This is still the most horrifically traumatising 45 minutes of television I’ve ever watched. No TV show has ever made me feel like that before or since. I genuinely felt like I was on my knees in the that clearing with them. I just love the fact that good TV can do that to you.
