If you listen to the first song.. Fantasia was pitchy. Paula knows music so she knows what she was saying and it looks like Fantasia agreed anyway. Not many singers have perfect pitch. and that's apart of her appeal as a real soul singer.

JH got a bum rap from Simon. He eventually apologized to her though but the damage was already done but JH moved on and became very successful even more so than Simon's star Fantasia. Though I like Fantasia too. Her vocals are crazy phenomenal but so is Jennifer even more so. Both Ladies are Legendary. It was good to see them saaang at the Queen of Soul's funeral. They brought the house/church down yes they did!!!😍

It was slight, but there...if you accompany her on an instrument from her beginning pitch you can hear it more clearly. Nothing to write home about...just anxiousness. Simon summed it up when he said she's one of the best they've ever had. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I was to young to actual remember this moment but I remember when I used to hear that people thought she was ugly when I got older. and looking back I don't understand what looks wrong with her she looks like a average girl and now as she's gotten older she's turned into a beautiful woman.

Acacia Magee even though it’s not that long ago, it’s far enough back where only blacks with white features were considered beautiful. Like Halle Berry and Beyoncé. I think we’re now starting to embrace people who fall outside of the Caucasian mold as beautiful so looking back it is weird that people thought she was straight up ugly.

None of the American Idol winners are bad or average singers.....was the show staged to get more exposure and viewers? Yes. Did the show produce any mediocre or bad acts? I don't think so!! In fact it produced some of the most successful acts of the decade (00's), like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, David Cook, Adam Lambert, Haley Reinhart, David Archuleta, Clark Beckam, just to name a few.... clearly the people who got into the show, knew what it was a about, being aware that had both positive and negative sides...if anything, anyone who got picked to be on the show should've been grateful for the exposure and knowledge they got from being in it, instead of complaining about it being impartial.....it is a chance, and when you are a struggling musician looking for a chance, it is as simple as taking it or go the harder route and get a recording contract while being a "nobody".
