Fantastic Freight Action around Stenson Junction. 04/05/22

We had a fantastic time filming these freight trains when we got other locos class's with the normal class 66 on this late afternoon visit.
When I say we I am referring to my good mate Ben, check out his videos on youtube as you will not be disappointed with them. Ben interhubGBRf

You had a very good spell there Mike, plenty of freight to see. Nice shot of 6K50 rounding the curves showing the rails on the wagons bending, and an unusual sight of a MPV attached to the rear. I always enjoy filming at Stenson and North Staffs.

I agree Darren it is a very good area to do our hobby, I just don't get to go there that much, its a location were its best to visit in the summer months with the lighter nights. Thanks for checking my video out and your comment Darren. You take care, regards Mike.

Excellent video there Mike, plenty of freight variety going on there! I've never seen an MPV attached to the rear of an engineering train like that before, certainly makes a change.

These days Andrew all sorts of things happen when it comes to engineering trains moving around the network, like FL getting a lift from a GBRf working. Thanks Andrew for watching my video which I appreciate very much. Regards Mike.

Spectacular that was Mike! Wow! What fantastic locations! Magnificent shots and captures there! Glad you caught these! Amazing sounds and workings! Excellent detailing and camera work! You did well there! Splendid action and variety! Can't beat a good bit of business there haha. 66420 was fantastic, and wow a MPV on the back, that must be rare! You do get some of the best lineside shots in the country! Great stuff! Top class! No faults at all! Well done! Great work! 70015 sounded amazing! Cracking captures! The engineers in this were great. What a fantastic video Mike. One of my favourite locations back in the 80's although the footbridge at North Staffs Jcn was just a foot crossing back then if my memory serves me well. The capture of 66420 by the way was superb. Well done with this one. ATB Colin.

Thanks Colin, I didn't go to that area in the 80s only on a passing train as the hobby for me was taking photos of name plates or working seven days a week a lot of the time. I had a very good few hours there with Ben. Thank you for watching Colin, regards Mike.

Great documentation of rush freight traffic in this place my friend😉 I wonder about this branch leaving the main track in Stenson Junction, is it used only for freight trains or are there also some passengers?
