Remove the traille and leave that space to crack eggs, foods, instead of going back and forth. Remove that orange pitcher so you can have space. Everything is backwards . The tiles on the floor looks better to me, you don't have to cover the hole kitchen floor with rug , get a smaller matching rug for the sink area.
