One of many underated and obscure bands from the early '70;s who made inventive , original music for music,s sake not for mass commercialism . We,re not see their like again .

I totally agree with you…what a diamond…I born in 1984, I’m French, my parents teach me the hippie philosophy with all the things who gone together… so the music is a part of this things for sure. I only listen the 60´s and 70’s music. It’s all my life. I researched a lot of band on internet and i already got a loud directory. I love all the kind of sound of this early years (pop/rock psychedelic/space rock/balad or country…) like Pink Floyd, Steve Hillage, Jefferson Airplane, Wishbone Ash, Uriah Heep, Azarchel, Hawkwind, Ananda Shankar, Robin Trower, Crosby Still Nash and Young, America, Fleetwood Mac, Magna Carta, The Doors, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Allmans brother band, Fairport Convention, Moody blues, Quintessence, XIT, Marshal Tucker Band, Renaissance, QuickSilver messenger service, King Crimson, Caravan, Cream, Curved Air and hundreds more….. But if you have some bands to recommend me it will be a pleasure!!! 🕉🔱❤️🙏🔱🕉

@@Kenan137 Hi Kenan . l'd recommend any early 70's British and American bands . lf you Enjoy Progressive Rock the British bands especially . Lots of good French and German bands from the early 70's too . Ange ,Saint Just and Sandrose are three French bands that spring to mind . Recommend a book "Galactic Ramble " which covers the 60's and 70's British music scene and contains reviews of hundreds of obscure bands of the time as well as the more well known ones . Worth getting if you can get a copy . l found it very useful for my collecting of albums . One advantage of being old is that l got into and saw a lot of these bands at the time and brought the L.P.'s at the time too . Hope this information helps . Happy listening . There's a vast amount of music from those days waiting out there for you to discover . Cheers .

@@Kenan137 Do you already know Pavlov's Dog? I was listening to them just yesterday since many years. An American band that has made two great albums in mid 70s. I much prefer the first one, Pampered Menial, but the second is good too. Maybe the voice sometimes is so exageratedly high pitched, but it's part of their sound. Being me a great fan of Kansas, I like that Pavlov's Dog too use the violin in most songs. Greetings from Italy!

Этих групп в Голландии, подобных этой, талантливых и энергичных было сотни. То же и в Германии. Их эпоха подобно эпохи Кебрийского взрыва, но после этого взрыва эволюция, увы, не состоялась, но все скатилось в поп-музыку.

If you love The Moody Blues and Barclay James Harvest this album, along with the 2nd Beyond The Beyond is a must have. Melodic 70's Prog Rock with their own distinctive sound. Often ranked with Spring, Indian Summer, Cressida as a criminally underrated band. Original UK vinyl copies are so expensive nowadays.

There were just so many good bands in the early Seventies! Some tips of mine: GREENSLADE albums "Greenslade" and "Bedside manners are extra": RARE BIRD "As your mind flies by"; CAMEL albums "Snow Goose", "Moonmadness" and "Rain Dances"; BO HANSSON albums "Magician's Hat" and "Attic Thoughts"; GONG and STEVE HILLAGE (several albums); URIAH HEEP "Demons and Wizzards"; OMEGA "Time Robber"; SWEET SMOKE "Just a Poke"; BRAINTICKET "Psychonaut"; WALPURGIS "Queen of Saba". There were MANY more god bands - just keep digging!

Reminds me of Pink Floyd's first 2 albums and Jefferson Airplane. This is what I was hoping that Kansas and Styx would sound like, but never quite did. It's a little like Deep Purple - Deep Purple ( especially the song Blind reminds me of the style of this band). Great atmosphere and interesting melodic choices. The type of music that is like remembering places I've never been and missing people that I never really met before

This is an incredible album. Unfortunately Polydor did not promote the album as it should have been promoted, and the result was very poor album sales. THe band did manage to stay together long enough to record a second album, but due to poor publicity and lack of interest, the band split before the album was released. Fortunately, the recordings were saved and are present here as "Beyond The Beyond". The second album is very good, and deserves more than it has been given. A truly exceptional prog band that was overlooked. The original Polydor pressing is now fetching sums in the upwards amounts of $600 or more. Still looking for an original press myself.

Interesting to note there was a band out of Miami that called themselves Fantasy, but they predated the British one. The American band released a self-entitled album on Liberty in 1970 with great female vocals from a 16 year old Jamene Miller, great psych there, obviously different from the UK band. I was able to get an original LP copy of the American band for a very reasonable price. I know I can't say the same if I was to seek an original copy of the UK band on Polydor. Funny to find two different bands with the same name and enjoy both of them! It's obvious the UK band never heard of the American band, probably because the American band's album was never released in the UK.

@@nickjohns Don't forget Genesis. We all know the UK one, but there was an American psych band called Genesis out of Los Angeles who released an album on Mercury called In the Beginning (1968), interestingly the UK band also had an album called In the Beginning, which is simply one of the many reissues of their debut From Genesis to Revelation. But the LA band included photos of the band members who you'll never mistake for the UK band. Plus they had a female singer in Sue Richman. I happen to own the US Genesis album (as an original) sitting next to my other (UK) Genesis albums.
