Mine started off as a short distance fun bike, but I now do 140 mile days out no problem. It’s easily capable of distance, just not at anything over 70mph due to the riding position. Had it on a few easy green lanes and it was confidence inspiring. Rarely need anything less than 4th on the road.

Always nice to see an affirmative review of something I’ve already got, thanks mate! I traded my GS 800 for one of these. Absolutely loving it. I live in London and don’t really go any great distances, but it’s fine for, say a 100 mile day out. You could easily tour on these if you are not bothered with motorway mile munching. As it happens, I bought mine, used, out of town and rode her 200 odd miles home on day one. I found the performance more than adequate, but I did allow m’self a few mercy stops to relieve arse ache and Betty Swollocks. It was a hot day and these bikes do seem to run very hot.

You sound like your very surprised on its get up and go. You obviously have never done motocross ride a Husqavana 465 and tell me 500cc is slow , it’s a scrambler not a CBR1000 and let’s face it and I was 25 once and ton up riding can see you living a short life on our roads , a few of my old friends died back in the day or injured and roads where much quieter. I like this bike I may tan a look at one 👍
