In conclusion while the two are DEEPLY disturbed and mentally unwell in their own ways and have really no excuse, it was the parents who started it with the siblings simply reacting appropriately to it

The fact that this is blowing up because people keep trying to cancel it is perhaps more satisfying than the actual video. Having played this game thrice up to the available content trying to look for anything I missed I think I can offer my insight to those who actually want to try it out and not cancel it because twitter said so. This is a horror game, so expect horror. Yes, they are terrible people. Yes, there is very clearly incest in it, albeit implied. But if you actually play the game and try to understand what it's trying to tell you, instead of what it shows you, you'd know that's not the point. As @wardenunknown so eloquently put it, the sister is quite literally the worst thing to have ever happened to the brother, and the game is all about what you do with this information. I won't get into too many details as I feel that it would ruin the impact that the game has, but the story telling honestly feels superb. It isn't too subtle, nor too blatant. You'll get what you put in. I genuinely hope this game succeeds, and that people realize that the devil is in the details.

The story is extremely addictive, the way it manages to put heavy things like Cannibalism, Murder in a way that becomes "Normal" and the development of the characters throughout the story (the Dynamics of the brothers, Not to mention the incestuous side, in which practically Ashley has kept her brother on a leash for manipulation since childhood and how this mentally impacted Andrew) ~ Google Translate I hope there are no errors 😊

Decay route is more realistic than burial route as andrew backstory

Honestly I see both as possible outcomes from his situation. In decay he realizes more and more all the shit around him but feels stuck inside it, slowly breaking down and lashing out at every opportunity. In burial he's shutting his emotions off related to his guilt and becoming apathetic, quite possibly deflecting any blame of his actions like he's done in the past or straight off just starting to get too used to it, in a way. Both are extremely unhealthy ways to cope with such a situation, but I feel like Denial is closer to him just falling apart and Burial is him holding it together in a very flimsy manner, where disaster is ready to happen the moment he cannot escape the guilt of what he's done.

I can’t tell who is manipulating who. At some points, we have Andrew having a breakdown and Ashley consoling him, and the other we have the two getting physical with each other and out right fighting.

Honestly when I first came across this game, I was really hella attracted to this unique artstyle. And so I have watched hours of playthrough and missing updates dialogues. The art is hella pretty but definitely I know the developer doesn’t support sweet home Alabama relationship, its just to make the game more unique, disgusting, creepy and interesting at the same time. I love the game though, the stories too 👹✨🩷

The game is actually really good, but I feel like what majority of the people I’ve seen online focus on one of the ending routes you can get. I’m talking about the one where in the vision thing, they’re shown after having some.. uh.. fun.. as siblings. Personally, I find the implications of muder and/or suicide much more disturbing than incest. The only real problem with incest is that it carries a higher chance for birth defects in any children born to such a pairing. I find it ironic that for a HORROR game, I didn't see 1 limb cut off, blood coming out of the person, the most I saw was blood flying on the screen and not showing the dead person, just as a silhouette... Maybe I have to go deeper into this game... besides, it's funny that being a horror game, the game shows more of the two characters in a cute relationship than a really horrible relationship...

I don't think Andrew is really in love with Ashley because as he is being manipulated by her, he tends to get confused a lot and you can tell he is a low self esteem guy he gives everything to his sister. I mean if she throws a tantrum or threatens him he has no choice but to accept the truth I see that in the future Andrew will take power in the relationship and give his sister to the demon as an offering to get rid of her. Since it is because of her that his life became hell committing crimes and cannibalism. He deserves to be happy!

I know for sure a lot of the reason people hate the game is not because of the incest itself but because they're hot and it's incest. If they were ugly or Progressive people wouldn't have such a harsh reaction to it, it would be treated similarly as a lot of the garbage being pumped out these days. This game WILL be regarded as a classic in a few years.
