Warning: If you bought the game from Steam, the process of setting up DEVMODE is a little different than the one shown in the video. The mod itself is installed the same, though.
-Watch the tutorial or at least read the ReadMe file before using this mod/hack!
-I recommend that you make a backup of your game! (I included a small backup, but you should still make your own.)
-You should see the showcase, so you know what you're able to do with this hack.

LISTEN GUYS! Don't post your angry comments that I "broke your game" if you mess things up. I said everywhere I possibly could that YOU SHOULD MAKE A BACKUP of your game before trying this mod. I'm not responsible for breaking your game if you're not able to install this mod correctly. Just make a backup before you modify anything and then you can try this mod safely, knowing that you can use the backup you just made if things go wrong.

You probably somehow replaced the whole skripts.pak file with the one you downloaded. You only had to add the downloaded scripts into the game scripts, which will only replace a very small amount of them. I hope you have a backup or else you'll need to reinstall the game now.

Hi, to be honest, I'm not really a modder. The scripts in Far Cry are not actually compiled, so one day I was looking through them and I just played around with some values. I did not actually add any features, I just modified the stuff that was there. Now I hope I understand your question correctly, you're asking what did I think of the AI on realistic difficulty? I actually haven't tried the realistic difficulty, I just played on normal. :D But I'll probably try it sometime.

A bit late, but is there a way to get more than 9 weapons in a slot? In FC1, there are more than 9 weapons, so if I use DEVMODE to get all the guns, the last few on the list will not show up. In normal/no-cheat mode, you can carry up to 4 weapons. With DEVMODE, seems like you can only get 9.

Hi, I remember trying to get this to work with all the weapons in the game when i was making this, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get them... I might have been doing something wrong, but it seemed like it's not possible.

@@Tomlacko Ahh bummer. Seems like the case with some elements in FC1. Like you cannot get the grenade counter to be > 9, or the ammo counter to be > 999. So seems like you can't get more than 9 weapons even with DEVMODE and editing the files. Thanks still! ^^ I also realise that you can indeed get the minigun and the mortar, too! But of course there's no gun art for that because they're supposed to be turrets. You can run around and shoot them with it, but there're no holding weapon animation. It's "Mortar" and "MG" in the game files.

Oh, interesting! :) I also found multiple unused weapons in the game files, which weren't give-able, but by replacing an existing weapon file with them I was able to bring some of them in the game, for example a wrench. Maybe it would've been worth making a video about it, don't know why I didn't. :D

@@Tomlacko Oh, yeah, there are more weapons and grenade types that would have made it inside, like the glowstick, and some sniper rifle, I believe. The wrench is actually found in multiplayer and would be used to build forts and machine gun nests.

It's been too long so I don't remember, but if you look into the weapon files (the same ones this mod replaces, for instance), you'll surely find it.

If you want just devmode, then yes, you can just type in DEVMODE, but if you want all the features from the mod, you have to download the mod.

Hey buddy can you just tell me step 3 one more time. You said it to open "Script.pak" with archieve but its already in the mod folder. So we need to just copy it and paste it in the Fc folder of the game right. I did everything and when opened the game the screen turned white and nothing happened. Plz reply

Yeah, that's where you misunderstood. You cannot just replace the whole Scripts.pak with mine, you need to do it the way I showed - open it and copy-paste the files inside it. I hope you have a backup, because what you've done is completely replace all the game code and now it's gone lol. :D I guess that many people also do this mistake (by looking at the amount dislikes), because they don't follow the instructions correctly, and then it doesn't work obviously. :D

The mode works itself, but I don't have infinitive ammo, fast reload or fast shooting weapons. (The game is bought in steam)

Either you didn't launch the game in DEVMODE, or you didn't apply the mod correctly.

@@berk_adem7 The thing with the shortcut doesn't work this way on the steam version. Look up how to activate devmode for the steam version on youtube.

It seems like you correctly installed the devmode script, but not the other scripts. Try it again and make sure you're copying them to the correct location, otherwise I don't know, you might have a different version of the game, hard to say where's the problem...

Infinite ammo is in DEVMODE by default. If you want to add health and armor to that command, add these lines to the MoreAmmo function in the DevMode.lua file: _localplayer.cnt.health=99999; _localplayer.cnt.armor=99999;

Sorry to disappoint, but this was a one-time thing, I probably won't be doing any more Far Cry hacks again. I'm still messing around in some other games though, and I usually make a video if I have something interesting.

If I had to guess, I think you replaced your whole script.pak with the downloaded one, instead of just adding the files inside. If that's the case, use a back-up and try again, following the tutorial better.

you can only add this weapon (mutantMG & mutantShotgun) in devmode. edit the script. but that waepon is invincible. no view. there also hidden wrench & shocker for close combat

i edit the script only for falcon. make the one hit kill. make the damage 500.. and the zoom step 12. so you dont have to use sniper rifle anymore. but also make the weapon sway = 0 .. 😁😁

+Marwin Van Tussenbroek Do other functions of the mod work? You may have installed the mod incorrectly, try loading a backup and try to install it again. Make sure you are following the instructions in the video carefully. Also check if you have the 1.4 patch of the game, as I don't know if it works reliably in older versions of the game.

There actually isn't a proper "god mode". You get 99999 health when pressing "O". If you take enough damage, you will deplete that health. You could bind a new command to decrease your health back to 100 if you really want to, but it isn't included in this mod.

Try putting something like this at the end of your DevMode.lua file (in the game directory) (also this would work even in default devmode without this mod if you want to): Input:BindCommandToKey("#LowHP()","k",1); function LowHP() if _localplayer then _localplayer.cnt.health=100; _localplayer.cnt.armor=100; end end You can change the values as you like, and also the key you want to bind.

Hmm, well, I'm sorry but I can't help you beyond this point. It would take me quite a bit of time to look into more, so you're gonna have to do that yourself... :/ But experimenting is fun, make a backup copy of that file and then try messing around with the scripts and values inside, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. :)

You can make a new shortcut to the FarCry.exe file if you know where you have it installed just by dragging it to your desktop, you don't have to guess the path then.

You probably just activated DEVMODE, but you didn't copy the files the right way. I can't tell you exactly what's wrong, but the best thing you can do is to try installing it all again while carefully doing what the video says.

Musíš správně překopírovat ty soubory kam patřijou, a pokud máš hru na Steamu, dát si pozor aby se nepřepsaly (neobnovily) na původní.

@@BlueScreendo Promiň, netuším, je to možný. Myslím že jsem používal nejnovější verzi 1.4 ale už si z toho moc nepamatuju.

+viraj gamage Just like I haven't said it enough times to make a backup... I included a small backup in the file you downloaded. Watch the video again and find the part, where I showed, how to revert back to the normal game.

+Tomlacko no hej ale ja som hľadal na nete jak tam dať nekonečno ammo god mode atď... vlastne ja som hľadal len že čo mám napísať do vlastností FarCry... lebo kedysi som to už mal A zabudol som čo sa tam má písať :DDD... A to čo si robil na začiatku som si myslel že ukazuješ jak nainštalovať Fc ... až potom som si prečítal názov videa.. A ten mód je fakt luxusný... takže si ho tam dám ;) skvelé video a dik ;)
