The fear of having to unjam a flamethrower

This is weirdly satisfying when he finally fixes it.

A simple list of issues from someone who used to be a gunsmith. The Star .45 and Makarov is a simple failure to feed most likely from excessively worn slide components. Simply re-racking won’t fix this. Desert Eagle: doesn’t look likes it’s been properly maintained in years if ever. Forcing it will only damage it further. Mac, Uzi: system seizure, again poorly maintained. Double barrel: somehow the lips of the shell’s brass have been sheered off and the rounds fallen into the breech. Simply stick a twig down the barrel and push them out. The ammo must be quite old. G3/AK/FAL. Excessive use and improper maintenance seized the bolt. As for the stuck magazines, I can only hypothesize that the excessive use has swollen the cheap magazines and locked them up. Ar-16: this is a simple failure to feed. Simply pull the charging handle back and the round will fall out of the magwell. Slamming the forward assist will either do nothing or cause further damage. MP5: Again, weapon not taken care of. System seizure. MGL: looks like the rotator spring has jammed/broken. Wrenching it around would only destroy the weapon. Despite popular comments, smacking it isn’t dangerous as the grenades have a distance timer before they are primed after launch. Homeland/SPAS/870: just plain stupidity. Springfield: locked up bolt. Again not taken care of. Wrenching it around would only damage it further. Dragonov/AS50: oil your damn guns, kids PKM/M249: User doesn’t know how to operate the weapon. Attempts to remove box while the belt is seated, improperly as the hatch won’t shut. Crossbow: good god man stop hurting yourself. String catch is damaged, even if it catches I would not trust it to hold and would treat it with extreme caution. The constant dry firing has more than likely severely damaged the limbs and thrown the weapon out of balance. Flamethrower: if it burns to simply touch the dials, slowly put it down and run far away. It’s shite. Dart rifle: appears to simply be a damaged mag or magwell.

Weapon jamming was the best. It is sad they removed this in their next games.

It's amazing how much you can convey with hand animations alone. You can feel the PC's rage just by watching his arms. I wish more games did this

I think a lot of people are missing the context of why these animations are like this. These jams usually happen in the middle of a firefight. Your mercenary is desperately trying to get the weapon to work just long enough to survive. They look careless because there is no other option.

The funny thing is that the jamming animations never stop until you tap the reload button. I got bored one time after I finished this game and walked through the whole map from North to South while the makarov jamming animation was on a infinite loop lol.

The way I look at it that the guns are so Rusted that they could easily get jammed because they don't have the cleaning materials.

The player dosnt even bother to attempt to clear the jam with the AR-16. The proper way to do it is to : 1. Slap the magazine. 2. Pull the charging lever. 3. Observe the chamber. 4. Release the charging handle. 5. Tap the forward assist. 6. Squeeze the trigger.

Frustration is using the Springfield 1902 and having it jam right when you have a ripe headshot lined up, and further, forgetting to zoom out and reload.
