The politicians gave voters the chance to accept or reject the far right in a straight fight. The people chose to reject the far right, even at the cost of a government that is further to the left than they would ideally have liked, but that's a price worth paying for the overwhelming majority of the French people.

Thats absolutely false. Under threat of further hateful acts by the left and weeks of riots, theft, violence, and the pulling of candidates from macron, he blocked the will of the people in typical leftist fashion. This was no democratic election. Its revealing how easy most ignorant folks turn away and ignore heinous acts of violence and rhetoric of the left but continue to point the finger at the right which has done none of those things. The left are vile fascists who want absolute rule and would use any force necessary to keep it.

@@nerenahd Think as you will. For me, Macron took the vote of migrants to keep his chair, well aware that he’s letting France stolen by migrants against the will of French people (who most voted RN). That’s wrong because he imposed massive migration against his people’s will. Betraying and exploiting French people: for me it’s dishonour and the fact that 1/3 of polls are for FN tells a lot about it. Besides, he’s lost his chair anyways.

So you think 33% of the vote should be enough for a majority? In the first round, the left and center combined had over 50%, and in any system that makes sense, it is them that should have more seats. Sure, the RN won a plurality, but not a majority.
