Farage: Lockdowns were Britain’s biggest ever peacetime mistake | General Election

The second and third Covid lockdowns were the biggest ever mistake made by a British government in peacetime, Nigel Farage has said.
Mr Farage spoke in front of a crowd of around 1,000 Reform UK supporters in Sunderland, the port city that gave significant backing to Brexit in 2016 and has benefited from Nissan ramping up production in the following years.
Mr Farage told the rally: “The Tories say we’re in economic trouble because of the pandemic. But hang on, you didn’t need to lock us down for a second and a third time.
“You didn’t need to take away our freedoms in a way that weren’t even done during World War Two and all of it with Labour support.
“I actually believe the long-term economic and psychological damage from lockdowns two and three perhaps represents the biggest mistake any British government, supported by the opposition, has ever made in peacetime.”
He went on to say he treated the second and third lockdowns with “contempt”.
Mr Farage will campaign on Thursday alongside Richard Tice, his predecessor and now the chairman of Reform, in Boston and Skegness, where Mr Tice hopes to unseat Tory incumbent Matt Warman.

Really is true that voting for Labour is voting for millions more low skilled illegal workers in the nation. That means lower wages, higher rents, higher prices on goods and higher crime. But he said himself he does not want the job. He can make speeches till the cows come home, but dealing with the day to day of a prime minister for Farage - that is just too much like hard work. He ran away before when the Brexit he wanted happened. He said “there is no money in first line politics”. He joined Trump’s troop. Started GM TV, is on tictok and runs around. the USA making speeches for a living. This stint into U.k politics will give him fresh material to liven up his tired “Brexit” speeches into the future. Plus campaigning against net Zero to boost his shares in DGB. Prime minister is not his aim.

But he does not want the job. Said so himself in an interview. His role is as a disrupter. Same as the role he took when he “worked” as a European parliamentarian in Brussels 1999. He did nothing to argue for change of policies in the interest of the U.K. he made it clear he was only there as a disrupter. So only to complain. Not to come up with solutions, like the one where others gained us the right to NOT join the EURO monetary system. We had rights within the EU to offer alternatives to other EU rulings while we were in the EU. Only our representatives (especially the disrupter Farage). were too lazy to do any actual work, while living at ease, eating, drinking in Europe at EU expense.

Sunderland is a dump,i moved to London from Sunderland in 1998,no work , the decline began in the 1980,s,,no industry,,no small businesses,,theres nothing happening,,ive followed how my old home city had faired over the decades,,the mayor, and civil servants earn fantastic wages,,one mayor was on almost £500,000 a year,, the wage bill swallowed up the public funds allocated,,the area is riddled with crime, mass unemployment,,generations of unemployed,,a huge alcohol band drug situation amongst the young and now oldr generations,,whom have never worked,, Sunderland is classed one of the worst places to live in the UK,,its a dump,,and as the people wallow in self pity, getting drunk and stoned on drugs and booze,,nothing has stopped thosr people from gaining and education,,even moving away to find work,, the only people who drink, smoke, take drugs are unemployed,,i still have relatives who live there,,god help them,,

Farage has forgotten that Great Britain lost a lot of hospital staff with BREXIT! Great Britain had no other option otherwise even more people would have died. EU countries helped each other quickly and were able to save many people. Their disaster protection helped a lot, as there are also many trained paramedics and doctors here. In Great Britain, disaster protection was cut to the bone!

It is difficult to et the true figures but there appears to be about 5 million people of working age that do not work. NHS waiting lists show 8 million on waiting lists but no details on the severity of their illness. so how many can’t work. So we need to get millions off. Benefits But we also are informed there are 1 million vacancies. We are also aware that 1.4 million immigrants came in last year and almost as many currently giving us 700,000net. So that leaves still 4 to5 million without work even when vacancies are filled. So how frustrated are all those people now threatened with lack of support if they don’t get work. HOW CANTHAT WORK? Multiple organisations don’t seem able to work this out. We obviously need more jobs created by businesses so we need rapid job creation but we don’t see he policies doing that. There are over 200,000 vacant jobs in NHS and Care . Filling these is not even mentioned. We need realwealth and that has to incorporate FRACKING. OIL AND GAS FOR 30 years minimum.
