Farewell Michael On Interstate 5

July 7, 2009, Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.... The Jackson family left their home for the Memorial celebration of their beloved Son, Brother, and Father, Michael Joe Jackson.
I was up bright and early to watch all this on TV until I got word Michael's motocade was gonna pass near my home in Glendale, California. So I threw on some clothes grabbed my camera and ran out there.
The motorcade came southbound on I-5 from Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills to the Staples Center in Downtown L.A. for the service. Starting with the ramp from Los Feliz Blvd., police closed a section of the freeway entirely in advance of the procession.
Its been pretty surreal for me these past two weeks.
I never knew Michael in real-life but his songs, films, and video games have been a part of me since I was born. Now I know what it feels like when other generations lose vital music greats. But this had to be the most tragic the world has ever seen.
Much love for you Michael! You're a true inspiration and a revolutionary. There will never be another YOU.

I can’t explain how I feel right now it been ten years since Michael Jackson pass away and I still remember the day like it was yesterday I miss Michael Jackson so much he was my best friend the one who I turn to when I need someone and he would always there for me through his music and now there a part of my heart is missing because of him Michael Jackson was the only one who fill my heart with joy and happiness because he brought so much love and pace to this beautiful world and since he been gone hadn’t been the same anymore I love you Michael and there is the only place you will be in my heart I will always remember you and things you did for this beautiful world I miss you rest in pace sweet angel Michael Jackson August 29 1958 - June 25 2009

I loved and grew up with Michael and his music since the early 70's.... When they announced his death I had a really hard time accepting that he was really gone.... Not only was I in the hospital when he passed but it was also my 50th birthday ( Yes...I'm old.. ) But not too old to appreciate the man and his music... R.I.P. Michael.... You will always have a place in my heart

The WORLD mourned when MJ left us. Alot of generations emulated his dance moves, his style and sound. I dont think there is a country that did not know who he is. He is the KING pop..we have lost alot of our greats.

All I can remember about him is when I was 3 years old my mom bought a mixtape and 2 days later she found out that he had died my mom and I were in tears and i'm crying right now as i'm watching this video he was just a big part of my childhood and i just can't let go of it. Even up to now I still listen to that mixtape I don't care how long it's been but all I know is that i miss him even after all these years. So many people are like let go let him rest in peace but I can't

I lost my mom around the same time when Michael died.... i cried because i lost my favorite artist and my mom.... i felt so numb, like a part of me died that month. Never been the same since.... but i did move on. Maybe one day... i will reunite with them both.

@shoemanbundy - The "I Love Michael" rush.... You've ever been to a Michael Jackson concert ? I've been to 6 shows. Do you even own any of the original MJ albums? I've got them ALL as promotional copies in plastic protectors. Did you attend the "Captain EO" ceremony the first day at Disneyland ( Anahiem, CA ) in 1986 ? Ofcourse not, YOU WASN'T EVEN ALIVE ! I was never a seasonal MJ fan like some people have been. He impacted me . His passing was a sign of the times for me.

@PhatPhunk - Thanks for understanding. I miss him too. Michael truly set standards beyond expectations in music and entertainment - especially in the 80s. I was alot happier in those days as a child when Michael would come out with a new video / album . It was such an EVENT ^_^ I just wished the media wasn't so damn harsh on him. He was never a pedophile. Michael simply backed out of a record contract. Record companies are notorious for blacklisting artists in the public eye.

That's great and all, really. but I think Michael himself would say you're being a fool to say that thanks to his death the whole industry should crash and burn. I mean, he would NOT want that, come on, he was a kind person. This is a pretty pointless argument, I'm just dumbfounded how you can think he would like someone going around making it appear that he wouldn't have minded his fans saying no other talent deserves a chance in the industry thanks to his death. :/
