Fantastic recovery!!! Yay!! And thanks for the tour of the place. The Tropicana was the very first hotel I stayed in when I took my first trip to Vegas in August of 1993. I stayed in one of their bungalows, which actually was a really nice room back then. Sad to see it go. 😥

Thanks for watching Nick! Aug of 1993! My first trip to Vegas was on a family summer vacation in 1992 where we visited L.A. and Vegas! Of course, I wasn't allowed to play slots then. We stayed at the Barbary Coast (now Cromwell). I miss those days and have some VHS video from that trip that I should dig up 🙂

We used to stay at Tropicana before we moved to Vegas. They had fun slot tournaments and low minimum table games. It is iconic. So sad.

No way! I was just telling Shinobi this morning that BTP is a HARD game! I've given up on it as it's so tough to bonus on compared to say original Buffalo Gold. Congrats on that jackpot win! Was it off the triple pop feature!? 🤑

@@AlbertsSlotChannelI still agree with you.. its a very difficult slot game. I only popped Rising and Gold.. I got a handpay when I got Buffalo's across the board with sunsets at x2 and x3 and another at x2. That one hit was $1100

Yeah! I wanna know what's gonna happen to all those huge progressives worked up so high by the customers that won't get paid out 😄 Guessing the machines will go back to the slot mfg if they were leased or sold to other casinos or a slot junkyard somewhere 😄

Good question. In one news article I read "Hotel implosions are a staple of the Las Vegas Strip, but it’s yet to be determined if The Tropicana will join the famed list of properties that went up in dust. Whether or not the Tropicana Las Vegas Casino Resort will be imploded was the subject of a meeting between the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Bally’s Corporation." I wanna see it happen if it does! 😊

I took my Dad to the Micheal Jackson show for his birthday in October. It was great. I'm sad it's leaving but the casino must not have been making money for them to sell the property. Hope the employees find better jobs.
