Hi Tracy. I pray Champ comes home soon. I lost my Charlie on April 7th, he was playing and just dropped dead. I'm thankful he didn't have a disease but at Antiques in the Garden my vendor booth was next door to a veterinarian and she told me some border collies have heart defects. She said it sounds like that is what took him. I have the biggest hole in my heart and we were bonded friends. I so pray you don't go through what I am. Hugs!

Despite living in zone 10, we also grow our turmeric and ginger in pots - not due to cold, due to the fact that harvesting is as simple as tipping the pot onto a tarp then filling the pot back up with compost, dirt so we're ready to plant the next crop.

Well I'm just watching,but the snake made me jump. Tracy you jumping and filming was so like I do. Now Gene has a new name "Light Foot" the singing farmer. Boy can he move. It's good that you all are together and watch out for each other. Everyone is finding a lot of snakes. Please be careful.

I’m so sorry your going through this ! It’s horrible wondering where he is ! But don’t give up , many pets have been found even months after they’ve gone missing . Call every vet in your area too , in case anyone brings him in or he was hurt . Leave his picture and your number at grocery stores etc for people not on social media , there is still a lot ! I lost a cat while getting her to a vet . We live in the country but the vet was in the city . She escaped her carrier and took off , it was horrible. I let a nearby business know and 6 weeks later they called me ! She was caught in a live trap , thin but okay ! It was a miracle as it was close to a loading dock with multiple train tracks and lots of traffic! The Lord cares and hears our prayers! ❤🙏 I will keep praying for Champ !

#replay please get you some lime or sulphur to put on ground for snakes. Also mothballs and cedar helps. I don't care for snakes. Remember when lime and sulphur will dissolve after rain or wetting.

So sorry to hear Champ hasn’t come home. I am praying you will come on and say you went out one morning and he was on the porch. I’m new to the channel came over from seeing you on Cog Hill. I love your channel and your family. Going through and watching older shows and came across the tour of Ma and Pops cabin and loved it. Tell Pop I liked his deer heads. I’m a Taxidermist here in Newnan Ga. I watch you tube while I’m working in the shop. Keep it up and Thanks for sharing.

Girl I have laughed until tears are pouring down my face! I have the same exact fear of snakes! I literally rewound the video a couple times! I love that you left it in and didn’t edit it out! We are still hoping for Champs return!

Also, do you have Animal Control in your state? You might want to try calling Animal Control and fast. If an animal is not claimed within 48hrs gets terminated. 😢 Only if you have a high population of strays. Also try calling rescues in your area or around you're area. They can help also!! I spray shiver shield ( colloidal silver ) on any skin issue on any of my animals and it helps so much !!!!

I think someone picked him up in a car. He had no collar so somebody probably thought that he was dumped. Did you microchip him? I've always had collars on my dogs. The last dog would run off when my back was turned as she was afraid of everything and she would hear a boom or something far off and she was gone. She ran off one day and I immediately got her leash and went out to the road. A car comes by and the woman driving asked me if I was looking for a dog... She picked her up and had her in the car! After that I had a tag made with her name and my phone number. I never let her loose again either. Sure hope you find your Champ. It's horrible when you lose your friend like that. The not knowing is torture.

Please everyone spay, neuter and have your animals microchipped! It is healthier for them, usually eliminates the desire to roam and if they do go missing and are found, makes it possible for them to be reunited much faster. I really hope Chance finds his way back home soon 🤎

i love your garden. i need to start a garden from scratch in my yard. how do you recommend starting a new garden? i have seen you do cardboard and then straw, is that how i would start in a grassy area? thanks

I would spray the area with vinegar on a hot day and try to kill off the grass Then cover with cardboard and compost and mulch

Do you change the needle on the syringe after you inject the med, or do you just use the same syringe every day? If you don't clean the syringe needle or change it after using it, Honey is gonna get another infection. That's probably what's going on. Even if you're using the syringe for 1 goat, you'll still need to make sure you clean the needle. My mom & dad had a passion flower plant in their backyard. She never planted any seeds or plant, so she never knew where it came from. Dad said,"It was probably from a bird." Wherever it came from, it sure was beautiful. Same purple flowers also. My parents passed and we had to sell the house and the land it was on. I live in an apartment now with my adult kid. It's not like living in a house, but at least I don't have to pay for property taxes.

This video had so much in it🙂I so hope that Champ turns up,,the not knowing is so hard.:-( I must admit I giggled a little at the snakes:-)Gosh,not sure what I would do about that as bees scare me to death,even though I garden.I am sure the neighbors have loved the shows I have put on,running and swatting and screaming,,,haha Your pots were fantastic!!Lucky to score them,:-)That's a good friend right there! And yes,there is not place like home,how blessed to have that waiting for you,and Gene,what a great husband he is. I do have a question,what is the best way to treat black spot on roses?Can you be proactive with a pre treatment? I am in Michigan,trying to get a rose growing on a cattle panel arbor,but it looks great and then loses all it leaves just about. Thanks and god bless you two🙂Donna

Fertilizer every 4-6 weeks mid March to mid September Encourages new healthy growth Use a 3 in 1 fertilizer with a systemic fungicide will help

I had a black rat snake in my house .actually 2. The first one got into my burd cage and killed and ate my cockatiel, Banjo, that i had for abour 15 years. I was sleeping in my chair, where i always sleep and the cage was behind me . I took that cage outside and killed that snake. Its illegal to kill indigenous snakes in Maryland but i dont care. It came into my house and killed my bird. I also had ducklings in the same room. Another snake... this time it was 3 am, the first time was during the day( i work all night) . The second time i wacked at the snake with a broom and grabbed that cage and out it tn my truck and keft and skep in my sons driveway. I did come back in my house but the ducks had to live in a cage in my truck til they got bigger.
