Answering the community's questions so you can play Farming Simulator 22 better! Each week I'll be taking the best questions asked in my comments section or discord channel and trying to answer them in-game.
A lot of people have been asking in my comments how the new Meridian US-style silos work, so I thought I'd pull together a quick tutorial to show you. It's a relatively simple process but brings a nice level of authenticity and realism to your gameplay.

Some little tips for using these for those who strive for realism: Put the swing out auger in the middle of the two hoppers, as long as your truck is parked close enough you have the reach for the swing auger to move to both the front and rear hoppers without moving the truck. Also when setting up the unload auger, keep it as low as possible. You want it just high enough to clear the stacks on the semi so that wind will interfere with the grain as little as possible. If you are running large sleepers on the Mack's I'd even recommend raising the auger to drive the truck underneath and then lowering it again once it's over the trailer.

Thanks for putting these shorts together, most helpful even to someone thats played a few generations of FS. There is a lot I haven't touched because I don't know how it works or of what benefit it is and this sort of information really helps. Clear, concise and straight to the point.

@@xMrToxic I'm a PC user. So I can't confirm. Once first hopper has been unloaded. Try using the L3 button, to switch hoppers. Hope this works for you.

Thanks for sharing that valuable info FSG. I have been wanting to learn augers and just couldn"t figure it out in Fs 19. Now, maybe, in Fs 22 I will be able to use this kind of grain bin and finally be able to utilize augers. I love the idea of the video shorts Thanks again !

If you go watch Mike Mitchell's KZfaq videos you can see exactly this happen in real life. It's not so simple as he also needs to move the truck and auger back and forth until perfectly aligned.

For each greenhouse you own, is it worth producing all 3 crops or just one at a time, do they slow each other down on productivity or just simply use more water?

I'm pretty sure you're the one I was talking too before (I'm subscribed to too many tbh) that has direct contact with mod creators. (did we discuss making equipment breakdowns and mobile service mods?) I have another want. A horse trainer/exerciser for console players. I know there was a mod only available for PC players that took care of your horses daily riding needs. But this is a 2 in 1 request. Part one is having a contraption/area that you can put a horse into that will cover your riding desires. Here's part 2: a mod that allows you to load horses up at the farm into a trailer, then drive to wherever your heart desires, to then be able to unload a horse (or 2/3/4/5++++) at any location on the map so that you can then ride your horse from that location. Maybe add extras so that on board your horse you have everything you need to set up a little camp anywhere on the map. With a little tent, a campfire, bedroll, etc etc etc. (Need I really go on?) I have a slough of ideas based on things someone could do in real life, only I lack the skills to make a mod of them. Hopefully you're the guy to talk too for this kinda thing and i won't need to waste a lot of time with the copy/paste feature. I grew up on an old ranch, and while the FS series hits on point 99.08% of the time, there is that .02% in where folks. like myself, either grew up on a ranch or are currently living on one (in which I'm super jealous 😆) each of us will have our own little spin on how we would like to see these mods come about, but I do believe that most of us can come to a general consensus on 4 or 5 variations that would suit our desires. Can you only unload one crop into the meridian bins or is it you can dump every crop into it?

Great vidio as always, can you do one on mauer from Cows and Pigs, as most players are getting it wrong. You need to put an extenchion and not the silow downe for it to work. many thanks.

There is a silo for limestone like for seeds or solid/liquid fertilizer, or i have to buy tons of bags/pallets every time? Just for comfort and not have to move around my telehandler to refill the spreader... Building menu it's not so newbie friendly :/ Thx in advance😄

There isn't a silo for lime because there are lime buy points on the maps. I am sure someone will put out a mod for that eventually.

There's a Meridian liquid tank for liquid fertilizer and a Meridian bin (it looks like a faded white or light cream colour) that holds solid fertilizer, I haven't been able to test it if holds seed or not. As of right now there's no silo that holds lime so you have to dump it on the ground or deal with the pallets.

Yes they can be temperamental, make sure you start on roads to make it easier

I have loaded silo with lime but i am unable to unload it in the fertilizer spreader so i tried fertilizer trailer so that i will load fertilizer from trailer but i dont get any trigger when i get near the trailer now i dont know what to do. Can anyone please help

Check that the trailer and spreader will take the fill types lots of fert spreaders won’t take lime

if going for production buy the spinnery and the clothing factory. grow cotton take cotton to spinnery then linnen to clothing factory for immense profit
