The disk is an IHC 35. We had one and had to grease it every 2 hours. Same bearings as the old drag disk and the newer 37 wheel disk.

Glad you got your fuel cap. I remember in one of your other videos you mentioned a cap would cost $80 or something like that. Did you notice that the Farmall H in the auction field had the raised fuel cap. That International looked fairly clean. Full-watch.

I was always told by my grandfather and all the old timers down our way that oliver plows were simply the best you could get. Love the videos.

Those grill inserts are pretty easy to come by, most places sell them for about $40. They got taken off for a front mount steerable cultivator and usually got broke or lost. Curious to see what that H goes for, under $1000 is a steal.

All of these examples are 3 point have never pulled a set of drag plows. I have a 65 hp Massey 4x4 did some plowing for neighbor 3-14 john deere ,really pulled hard had to use 4 wheel a few times, did a good job turning the ground over. A couple of years later I got a set of oliver3-14 like new still had all decals on it, pulled like a dream I think it would pull a 4 bottom. . my experience john deere pull the hardest then allis chalmers then ford and oliver the easiest .I even pulled the 3-14 olivers with my ford 3000. The nicest plows I have used was a set of 3-14fords I think there 101s they had a high beam and the length was probably as long as a 4 bottom. They did not build up with trash in-between. I think the JD plows pulled harder because they weighed more then the other makes, I also agree with those 8 ft disks, not many people are looking for something that small

Apparently that cut out was used to attach a linkage from steering pinion to a set of cultivators , allowing the both to be turned in tandem ? Pretty sweet for ye Olde 1940s engineers. You made me learn something today. For that I thank you. 👌.

Glad you got the replacement gas cap for the H. That H at the auction looked to be in fairly good shape. The 8 foot disc would look nice behind your H. Buyer cheap & fixer up then head to the field. LOL Stay safe.

That spring loaded tongue on the John Deere plow had a cable to the hand clutch. If you hit a tock it jerk?the clutch back. that clutch handle cracked me on the knee cap. Still hurts today in rainy weather sometimes . We pulled 3 14s with a G J Deere and 2 16s withe the 2 As we had. The B disced planted and moved hog houses etc. Never had a plow behind it. Those old plows worked good and did a good job.

I've never seen a disc built quite like that. That said, it looks very well built, as compared to the angle iron frame style that are usually out there. Couple nice tractors there too. Wish it wasn't so far away lol

We have a cap similar to the new cap but it has a gage built into it. Has a cork float the makes the needle work.. It is on our super H bought new on our farm. Around 1955

If I remember right that might be for a cultivator some Farmall had a piece sticking out to help keep tractor steering straight and when you turn it unlocks so you can turn at end rows

You can get that front grill piece from a place in bourbon Indiana it's called the Bates corporation they have any international or farmall tractor part you can think of new used and rebuilt they ship parts anywhere really good guys to deal with but you wouldn't believe how much stuff they have there

You can get one of those grill inserts at steiners tractor parts it won’t be painted red but you can paint it

You can get the part for the grill for your h from Steiner tractor parts but you’ll have to paint it as they come black

My cousin just picked up a disc just like that. It has IH part numbers on the box bearings. You might take a look at the bearings and see if you can see the part number on it.

Got a cap like that for the IH swather. 🙂 Seems to limit weepage.

They canceled our local FFA auction this year and I haven't heard if they will reschedule it. I have a White 508 3 bottom 16"/18" plow that pulls pretty easy.

Stiner tractor parts might carry that grille insert, that was for steering a front mounted cultivator . Nice disk might be a Massey harris or a allis chalmers never seen one exactly like that one

The disc looks familiar, but I can't place it. Did you see those boogered on welds? I'm talking the ones that look original & not the repairs/additions. Wherever it came from, it was one step up from a mom & pop weld shop that used a battery charger & #9 wire. Hope you don't stick too much into that one. Yikes!! Edit: Well I'll be dipped in slurry & covered in breadcrumbs! I found it!!! It loomed in the back of my mind that I've seen it somewhere before, so I searched through my archives. There it was in an IH General Line catalog for 1954. It's a 35A wheel controlled tandem disc tractor harrow. Did a quick search in the Machine Products List issued in '79 & it was built between '52 & '56. They made 23,530 of them. Guess whoever welded the frame on that one was having an off day.

Grill insert , one on eBay in spring mills pa for 35$.

You could buy one if those grill pieces from yesterday's tractors. Most people removed those covers if they were using a gang shift cultivator.

The tires alone on the H are worth $700 .You have the knowledge and skills to be a good tractor flipper. There might be some markup in the 504.

Those might be Pittsburgh or Massey Ferguson discs. With all of the other consignment sales and other sales being cancelled ,that is no surprise to have that much at Tri State.

Navistar is what became of what was left of International Harvester after they fell apart. They build the International trucks now. So that cap is still kinda an ih part.

those bearings can all be replaced with sealed bearings,,,,start with a King Plow Co. conversion or try Agri- Supply Co. as they have them as almost sure,,also check with Glenn Bonnie at Ferguson Enthusiast of North America as he makes neoprene replacement of those,,he's on FB

There is a old gentleman with a KZfaq channel called Oldfarmjunk101 he said he had a three bottom plow for IH. Might get hold of him if you are looking for parts. I believe he is up in Ohio some place.

The john deere plows did pull harder. My uncle had a 5 bottom john deere pulled it with his 806. One year he borrowed the neighbors 5 bottom ih plow my dad went a gear higher.

Found the grill insert at all states ag parts.

Good day I don't think it is a IH disc. Me & bro. went to auction 10 yrs ago, to see 2 SW-6 tractors, 1 with & 1 without ta even though they were both 1954 models. There was a 8 ft wheel disc ih, & it went for $5.00. my mouth just dropped, I didn't need it, scrap fellow got it. I have a 10ft, ford disc 3pt ht,I need bearings ,$280. cdn for 1. So your saying some other makes them? Also I had ford 101 3 furrow plow. I live at end of farm, mennonite owns farm, borrowed mold boards , put on 2 furrow trail , said easy pulling plow with ford or raydex (oliver) bottoms. Neighbors with horses were buying all 3 furrow cochshutt which are same as oliver or ford. Thanks

That center grill on the H was removed for a bracket to attach to steer the cultivator.

alot of farmers took those bottom pieces out of the girl on the H's and Ms a shift gang cultivated hooked up there, and hooked to the steering post

Look at the individual parts and look for numbers and markings (Hubs, Bearings, hitches, lifting devices) they can tell you a lot such as maker, model(s), yr(s). I have a 404 and the engine is a C135. It is a good tractor, I do not think nor feel that it pulled anywhere near as good was the C/Super C that replaced.

Okay I have a weird question man, how often have you replaced your tires on that. For some reason I feel they have a great life span, but I do not own a tractor so let the dumb questions start, ready GO!!!
