The scope of impact that a startup like Farmdar can have is far-reaching. Their combined use of deep-tech with high-res, multi-band satellite imagery to create actionable data has the ability to improve farming at scale and mitigate the impact of climate change on food security, starting at home in Pakistan.
What a lot of you might not know is that the co-founders, Muhammed Bukhari, Muzaffar Manghi, and Ibrahim Bukhari grew up in farming families. They have first-hand insight into what it's like being in the at-times tumultuous agricultural sector. Farmdar is in every sense of the expression, a solution made by the people for the people.
Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to interact with the co-founders regularly as they're a part of the 8th Cohort at NICK. I love giving their example to all of our startups not because of their successful $1.3 million raise but because of their endless curiosity. Despite being seasoned professionals, they never miss out on an opportunity to learn new things, a trait I feel that all of us can benefit from.
While I promise I love all my podcast guests equally, I do feel a little more emotionally invested in this one. We're extremely proud of what Farmdar has achieved in their short journey, and we'll continue to support them on their mission to innovate in the agricultural sector.
