Hey there, I talk about the job below but I wanted to take a quick second to tell you about one of the viewers in our community. Christina Robinson has kidney disease and is needing help with funding a transplant. if you would like to help her here is a link to her gofundme page
gofund.me/02ec0a2d
while I was down in Texas I was looking on FaceBook and saw this and knew that I would have to do something about it. So on the tail end of our Sothern domination tour I dropped the girls off and continued onward & took off on my trip towards Kansas I spent 3 weeks cutting and cleaning some of the coolest properties I have ever done but it all started at this property. I really knew that I wanted to cut this historic cemetery but I will be honest I really didnt know what I was getting into until I got there. it was super overgrown and in the middle of nowhere & did not come prepared either. I was running low on not only drinking water but water to cook and clean. Out of desperation I had to put the job on hold and drove down the road in search for a source of water. I found an old farm house an knocked on the door. I got no answer so but I figured that no one would turn down someone in need of a little well water so I went ahead and hooked up to the camper and filled up my tank. I didn't finish the project in one day so I camped out beside the cemetery....it was a bit quiet lol. but on the second day I saw the first living soul since I got there. It turned out to be not "a local farmer" but "THE local farmer" (Dane). I guess he farms all of the land in that area.. well that farm house I talked about earlier. there was a man that lived there and farmed the area with him but it turns out that he had recently passed away. I have no doubt that they were good friends because the farmer spoke very highly of him. Dane was shocked that I was there and wondered how I even knew about the place. she said that the cemetery was mainly kids and that it hasn't been touched in almost 10 years. he said there use to be an elderly couple that took care of it but they passed away and the fund that they had gathered together to take care of the cemetery has dried up. I'm surprised that as a historic location that the state doesn't pay a company to maintain the location. so that's the wild and crazy story behind the wild and crazy grass and how i cleaned up this long forgotten cemetery. if you read this far I have a bounce video for you. I am wanting to put out a type of video that is very calming. i would live your feedback . so once you are done watching the video here is another one for you take a look at. • I KNOCKED on RANDOM DO... also if you go over there be sure to leave a comment so that I know you made it and if you read this far to know about it comment in this cemetery video "I know what you I have cooking".
want a sneak peek at new videos coming up. Check out our Instagram page.

Terrible. Haphazard, brainless, destruction of eternal personal property, just so you can create a job for yourself. If you can't hand mow/weed these properties, without damage....DON'T!!! The grass will grow back, it'll die, grow back....forever and a day. These graves can not grow back a broken edge or any other damage.

Destruction? He didn't destroy any graves and I've cut grass higher than that that bounced back within a few weeks due to the hardy nature of grass. (Note that Mister Beardy does this for a living whilst I am a housewife living in rural Australia) Cutting the grass will also enable people to avoid doing damage to the cemetary as well, providing protection due to increased visibility. It also means that people can maintain the graves more readily due to easier access.

My mother passed away in Tulsa Oklahoma and she was laid to rest in this cemetery with her mother and child. You don't know how much this means to me and my family. I no longer live in Oklahoma and haven't been for the better part of my life, but seeing this makes me want to take time off work to go see her and enjoy this moment you gave me. I had no idea the wild had taken over the property like this, it broke my heart and you really did something that means so much to me. Thank you and God Bless you and your family.

Thankful and grateful for the love and respect this incredible young man has for fellow human beings (and animals), both living and dead. He spends each day giving to others. He labors in sweat time and time again. His actions have brought me to tears on more than one occasion. To realize that there is someone like him out there gives me renewed hope for humankind. Imagine what our world would be like if more of us were like him. I'd imagine the true reward for him is in the knowing how blessed he is, evidenced by the love of his beautiful family.

For those saying that he damaged stones, believe me, cemeteries that are maintained by the city with maintenance staff do more damage to stones. Vandals do more damage. Those that don’t do their homework and use the wrong cleaning products on stones do more damage. This man barely made a scratch with a weed eater. He’s doing an excellent job. Thank you for maintaining the cemetery!

A town centre chapel is currently being converted to offices. It was long abandoned and becoming derelict. It was where we were baptised as babies, so I was glad it was restored, not demolished, but the gravestones, all Victorian or 18th century, which surrounded it have been moved and perched against a back fence. I hope I won't see cars parked on those graves. Another old Chapel, a Quaker place of worship, was converted into a cinema in the early 20th century. It's now a night club. Rumours of the ghosts of those buried at the rear persist...

For anyone who may be affected by this, Nature moves on, these burial sites hold the body/memory of these people for us still living. Their souls have already returned home the day they passed over. Our souls never die, just the body it resides in whilst here on earth, many will reincarnate & live to learn another life's lesson.

Many cemeteries West of Mississippi are at crossroads. People died on trip West and were buried in these small areas at crossroads in hopes of someday returning. Courthouses in nearest town would possibly have records as roads and highways sprang up. I live in rural Nebraska and there is cemetery not too far from me South of Lincoln. Someone keeps it nicely maintained with a fence around and some plants. I am a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution who maintain our heritage. Thank you for what you do‼️🇺🇸❤️

Good grief! First, I live in Texas, that tall grass will simply stay as tall grass UNLESS someone takes the time and effort to cut it down. It doesn’t ever simply go away on its own. In fact, keeping the grass short may protect those priceless (and they are priceless) headstones from suffering a worse fate, like a wild fire which can cause them to crack or growth on the stone which can also cause cracks and degradation. The guy did everyone a favor by mowing it. He was very careful around the headstones and the fence. He showed the utmost respect. Thank you for helping out that small treasure in Texas.

When I working in the oilfield everyday, I often ran across long forgotten cemeteries. It always seemed like such a sad thing to me. One in particular I remember was not far from Tulsa. I was told that sharecroppers had somebody pass, and the landowner gave them a place on the backside of the property to make a cemetery. I think it was used from the early 1900’s to the early 70’s. Most of the markers I saw were sandstone, and not much was left that a person could read. The latest one still had the little metal marker the funeral homes put out, but that was 15 years ago or so. A place very few people know about.

One of the best! Such a shame that none of these families has cared to do the upkeep here. I think you took a lot of precautions so as NOT to damage any of the headstones. As you said, it will probably all grow back and it will be way over anybody's heads. Grass and weeds like this have to be taken care of fairly often or they do overtake the property. Thank You for doing this - as you said - at least you showed respect for a little while. Keep It Up.

For someone who has a stillborn baby that’s buried and a nephew that’s only 2 months old that is buried across from him, I can’t thank you enough for cleaning up the resting spots for these other babies. I can’t imagine going to visit my son’s grave and finding it in this condition. Heck my son and nephews graves are in a very well known cemetery where we live and we paid extra to have them buried with raised headstones outside of the normal “babies/angel circle” so we can one day be laid to rest next to them. We’ve paid off our plots next to them already as well. I’ve been very upset with how the grounds have turned out there over the years. They took out a very healthy tree that I buried my son under so I could hang wind-chimes for him. I find myself wondering when there if it will one day be a forgotten cemetery and I pray that it isn’t. Their sites were once beautiful and it seems the cemetery isn’t keeping up on the maintenance on that side of the cemetery anymore. It breaks my heart. So I want to thank you for bringing back to life this beautiful resting place for these babies and the other souls who rest there. I can only hope and pray my living boys and nephews will do the same for their brothers if they ever find their brother’s graves in this condition. As well as our grandchildren and great grandchildren once we have them. May God Bless You Now and Always!!!!

Dad had been in an industrial accident and lost the use of his leg require a few skin grafts. Mom was a homemaker with two girls to look after. They didn’t have the funds for a city plot so my mothers family in the country sold them one of theirs. I haven’t been able to locate the cemetery. Everyone who knew where it was located has since passed. The only information I have from grave finder is a general area of where it is located. It had a cement marker but cement breaks down over time or the engraving disappears. If I could locate it I would have it looked after. It’s sad he would have been my older brother.
