You will need to check with the state your in! We have a sellers license from the state if Missouri

Always get a greenhouse first. Anything can be grown in the field without cover if you know what you're doing (mostly that is). Get your spray license, get some food safety training, and make sure you get your business set up correctly.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Personally, I would let it dry down and plough it all back into the soil. Improves soil and the seeds will germinate again next year when the weather warms again.

I haven't thought about saving the seeds, I'll have to look into it

Just some constructive criticism to try and get your thoughts together before you make a video so you don’t have to repeat yourself several times I’ve commented before on your videos I really enjoy what you and your family is doing and I always feel like sometimes you get in over your head and you have to learn the hard way by making mistakes and maybe not doing all the research you should beforehand but you’re a young guy and you have a great future on your hand and I’m the guy who told you you should head to California And make your way there good luck to you Dre, I remember when you went to California and you were amazed at everything that was going on there and I think you could really make a go of it there if you could get your foot in the door

yes, thats right. i think even three times wont cut it, with fuel, costs for machinery, ect. but lets be honest... a lot of self employed dont do it that way. if farmers would culculate their wage after all the work and watch to much on the costs, they would sell their farm to some other "idiot" and chose "easy life", with fixed salary and 50qm on rent. but farmer isnt only a source of income, its a way of life. so as long people make it threw, despite the hard work and the bad payment in the branche, they will continue. good people living from hard work. thats why i began beekeeping :) you wont get rich with it, you spent your hole summer, days and nights in swetted shirts and you even pay with no time for family and friends. what i want to say is: sometimes you shouldnt do the math to much, otherwise you will only asked yourself "why i am doing this?!" and just listen to your heart. i cant sell my honey glass for 10€, because it wont sell... if i sell for 7,5€ people already complaining, but as long honey is imported from all over the world, i wont get the money i should get for 16hours a day of sweat, lifting tons of beehives and the 10-20 bee-stitches a day. but i wouldnt like to change my job, i quitted my old for it where i could make easier more money :) (and sry for my english, i try hard :P)

Yes but like most you probably don’t understand the long and short term benefits to the soil. If the roots are left in the soil you get huge amounts of Carbon added to the soil. Carbon is the fuel house for all nutrients to be activated. Sunflowers have the ultimate Microhizzal fungi which is incredible for your soil. If done correctly they increase your soils infiltration rate ( water retention) Sunflowers with roots left in the ground increase nitrogen, also when decomposing provide the perfect habitat for worms and all good bacteria. So it’s very realistic that you don’t have to apply fertiliser for your next crop. These are a few things that most people have zero idea about when they are trying to farm correctly. So the value would be a lot bigger than either yourself or Dre are probably aware of.
