I'm looking at this same saw and I also cut at the same altitude. Very nice to see how it preforms in the same conditions.

I just got one of these about ten days ago. Haven't had time to mess with it much. I had a Husky bar and chain lying around from another saw and figured I'd put it to use. The kit arrived with an empty "Farmertec" plastic bag. Soon found out that it had contained the screws to attach the handle. Had to buy a couple bucks worth of screws to get it together. I haven't quite gotten the carb adjusted as it should be -- has a lag when you throttle up. I'll get it right soon enough though. Cuts quite nicely. Can't wait to break it in and get it on some 32:1 full synthetic mix. I'm breaking it in with a gallon of 25:1 Stihl oil mix. So far, so good! Thanks for posting.

Mine lags too. Not sure whats causing it maybe a stuff diaphragm

@@KimballCody it probably wont be easy. Find some non ethanol 90 octane. Alcohol just doesn't do it for 2 cycles. Eats gaskets and lines as well. Those chemicals that are being put in fuel are nasty. Even primo has it in W.V. Airports have 112 octane leaded fuel for of road use, most will sell it by the gallon. I have always ran everthing 50/1. Never burnt a tool up. Never foul plugs either. Looking forward to proving the naysayers wrong about Chinese quality control. The 66 is more to my liking . Good luck

So that you can survive kickbacks (they will happen!) try to lose the "monkey-grip", with thumb of left hand parallel the fingers, atop the handle. When kickback happens, this will let the left handle slip right below your left hand. Bad things then happen. Much better to put your left thumb under the left handle, opposed to your left fingers, so you can control the saw when you get a kickback. You won't get any advance warning, nor instant replay of what happened. Avoid ERs at all cost. Stitches are slow to heal

I am confused about this saw. Is the power head completely assembled (minus bar and chain) or is it a kit that requires assembly? Would appreciate your reply. Thanks.

Fully assembled

Prefer the "break it in the way you're going to run it" method? Not being sarcastic, just curious bc I hear the debate all of the time.

I've never had a problem with running it like this out of the box. I don't agree with the "idle a tank of gas through it.
@mattthadd46634 жыл бұрын
Pretty much. Just run it rich for about 5 tanks and call it good.

I just got one and the sticker near the throttle says 25:1 ratio for the gas. The manual says 50:1 and all husqvarna saws run 50:1. So what is it? 25 or 50?
@ConquerCollin5 жыл бұрын
I think the Chinese saws for some reason need the extra lubrication. But then again people run 50:1 on these after broken in. No real idea tho
@billyboots37305 жыл бұрын
25:1 is for areas that have no access to 2 stroke oil and have to use 4 stroke stuff i heard, i use 40:1 in mine

40:1 or 44:1.

Should I buy the G372 or wait for the G372xp to become available again? Only a $50 difference.

Wait for the xp. Bigger cylinder

As it happens I have both saws. I purchased the 372 first and then went through all the KZfaq videos on the matter and then bought the XP. The 372XP is the hands down winner and worth a few extra $. I have about 40 tanks of gas through it and it just rocks. I suggest start rich for several tanks for break-in, then lean out. Enjoy!
